I am writing this as a Parent who had two children go through Lincoln, but also as a Teacher who has been at Lincoln for 20+ years. Over the years, we have had staff come and go, but the one thing that has not changed is that our teachers truly care about kids and want them to learn and develop into successful adults, providing them numerous opportunities to succeed. We have done our best to adjust as the times change, and introduce new ways to for students to learn. Go Panthers!

We have had a wonderful experience at Lincoln. The admin work hard to provide a fun and safe place to learn by effectively communicating to both students and parents. If I had an issue or a worry the admin would listen and come up with a solution. The assistant principal goes above and beyond making sure that students are supported in every way. Multiple times I had a concern and not only did the assistant principal address my concern but she would also check on my son throughout the day to make sure all was good.
The office staff are caring as well as efficient. They remember names and take care of things quickly. The counselors, principals, and nurses are all there to help students get through middle school and they are great at what they do.
We also had an amazing experience with the teachers. They wanted the students to succeed and helped them do so while also holding a high standard of learning. So many teachers here pushed my son to work hard and showed him that he could be a good student. Every time I had a question the teachers were quick to respond and very helpful. I am so thankful for the staff and teachers who provide such a great learning environment for the kids at Lincoln Middle School.

Im impressed with what this middle school has to offer the kids. All the teachers have been very welcoming with great communication to the parents and it seems that they are all very happy with their positions at this school. Our first year at Lincoln has been great for our 6th grader.

The majority of the staff truly care about the students and prioritize their well-being. Its important to remember that some students face difficult circumstances at home, including trauma beyond their control, which can sometimes manifest as challenging behavior but this only represents a small portion of the student body.
As a parent, your role is to stay involved: ask questions, monitor ALL social media, and support your childs education. This is essential no matter what school your child attends.
Lincoln Middle School is full of school spirit, positive energy, and a community that genuinely wants the best for its students.

The school does a great job with our children. Some teachers are more involved than others, but thats to be expected in every school. The communication at the school and with the teachers is pretty good. The programs that the kids are allowed to be involved in are decent. I also believe that if parents would put more time into their children, their children would turn out better. The school is often blamed for a lot of family and or parenting issues that go unaddressed at home. The board members of the Oceanside School School District arent the greatest, This leads to a lot of the problems with the school leadership and things that do need to be fixed, but arent. When leader ship does nothing at the school district level, the teachers hands are tied. Some of the teachers with tenure, often get away with doing nothing. This is often very deflating for the students and ruins the motivation to learn.

My son is a 6th grader at Lincoln, and so far he loves it and is learning a lot. He especially likes Ms. Garrahy, Mr. Mateljan, Mr. Robydek, and Ms. Day. The classes are too big, but that's not the school's fault. My son feels safe and there is an emphasis on the kids' safety and a strong anti-bullying stance.

I just left an IEP meeting at Lincoln Middle School for my 8th grade son. His academics have always been a struggle because of his dyslexia. They were showing me his scores from the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test where he scored at an upper extreme level "gifted" in his cognitive abilities. The best part was the whole meeting's focus was, "We know how high his intelligence level is so now it's our job to make the modifications to help him stay engaged during lessons without having to focus so much on the writing to complete his assignments." They really seem like they are a team focussed on giving him the education he deserves and if it means teaching him in a different way they're up for the challenge. Feeling really good about Lincoln Middle School right about now!

Lincoln has a modernized campus and Mr. Bessant, the Principal is great! The school library is open before school, and at lunch. The librarian, Ms. Blaco was even opened during the summer! The counselors, Mrs. Lomelin and Mrs. De La Pena, are also great. They are very helpful and interested in student success. Mrs. Day, the music instructor, is very good and the students learn to play well, and enjoy the class time. The teachers are mostly dedicated, with one or two that may be more interested in retirement benefits than student success. Overall, Lincoln Middle School is a very good school in Oceanside, with a dedicated staff. Most parents and students will say that they like Lincoln. I sure do!
