While my daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at MC and has had an overall positive high school experience, some aspects of the school that have left me frustrated. Most teachers are good, and the school spirit is undeniable, which is wonderful to see. However, Ive had serious concerns with my daughter's counselor and her assigned vice principal. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been disappointing.
When my daughter needed support, both of these staff members were unresponsive and seemed to lack the time or willingness to help. Despite their outward appearances of caring, their actionsor lack thereofmade it clear they werent genuinely invested in providing the assistance my daughter needed. This has been incredibly frustrating, as its difficult for students to feel supported when those in positions of authority are not providing the help they truly need.

This school environment has changed recently. Some downward shift. This was one of the most relaxed and academically strong schools. A welcoming school for all POCs etc etc but I don't know if I can say the same anymore, unfortunately.

Mt. Carmel seems to be an inclusive and welcoming school in which students strive to do their best yet it's not ultra-competitive to the point where students are struggling with mental health issues. Staff is receptive to the needs of students.

I had a choice between MC and Westview and I'm so glad I chose MC. It's such an inclusive, extraordinary school and it really is great to be a sundevil!

great school! i originally planned on going to Westview due to the fact that it was rated higher. But MC didn't bring me down. I graduated MC with big scholarships to many great colleges....ussd usla, usberkley, stanford, even harvard. I had a fantastic experience at MC and urge everyone who can to become a MC sun devil!
