Park Village is beautifully nestled in Rancho Peñasquitos. It serves a great diverse population and focuses the on the “no place for hate” initiative .
There are several outstanding teachers at the school. However, if your child is taught by a second rate teacher don’t expect the principal to advocate for you and your needs. She couldn’t be bothered to follow through with mine and several other parents concerns. I asked for resources or solutions multiple times as I watched the education spiral downward. She is hopeless, next time I’ll go straight to the superintendent.

Our two daughters go to this school and the teachers and staff are amazing and the quality of education is superb.

During my 5th grade year, I attended Park Village Elementary School. The teachers were compassionate and understanding, providing a comfortable learning environment. However, the yard duties often unjustly scolded students. For example, my friends and I got in trouble for "playing aggressively" and "stealing." Additionally, I was playing soccer with my friends, but we got in trouble for not playing on the field. We moved to the field, but we just got in trouble for playing on the field. The yard duties are incredibly mean, but other than that I recommend this school.

We love our teachers, staff and community at Park Village Elementary. Students are well-rounded with good character as well as excel academically. It takes a village to raise children and we appreciate the joint efforts of all to create a safe and encouraging environment for our next generation. Go Penguins!

Worst school ever. The teachers are biased and cold heart. I will never put my kids to their hands.

Caring, Compassionate, and Committed faculty and staff. Diversity is celebrated, not a basis for inequitable treatment (as some have indicated).

Kids who struggle with learning disabilities are treated harshly and shamed. I was appalled. Scare tactics, punishments, "sign-ins" and no contact with parents about this. Awful school, unless you have a kid who is perfect.

I understand why people like this school. It's for driven families with hard-driven kids, which accounts for the scores. However, if your child is having trouble, the place is a nightmare of punishments and discipline with very little parent/teacher communication. They have newsletters and mass emails all the time, but try to get a teacher to talk with you OR the principal to respond to an individual in a meaningful way, and you will be disappointed. If your kid colors outside the lines, beware.

Park Village is an amazing school. The teachers and staff are excellent and extremely well educated. The test scores are high due to the fact that there is so much care from the teachers. The fact that the foundation funds additional programs along with those already funded by the district makes it even more appealing. PV education and opportunity rivals that of any private school and in most cases surpasses them. We are very fortunate to have our child attending Park Village.

Would like to express it in thoughts instead of ratings. First of all "Parents Involvement" is the most common word used around the campus and yes Parents are involved right from PTA to everything else. Let's come to a topic of education and what Parents Involvement" means. Basically as parents, are we sharing the load of a teacher? OR because school rely too much on a technology that "concept of teaching in a class" is disappearing? In addition, homeworks are printed papers (OK so far) and Compass Learning (which is again on computer), so basically it is parents who ended up teaching the kids for a curriculum provided by school. So if we remove the curriculum part then how different is this from a home study. Not sure is this the way we want our kids to be educated.

Park Village IS different. It is unfair to generalize. I have had more help from the pricipal and RSP teacher here than any other school my kids have been to including out of state. We love Park Village! The prinipal and teachers are caring and helpful. Parent involvment is extremely high. It is has been a wonderful experience for us.

School and School District Beware!!! This Principal and the RSP Teacher discriminate against children with disabilities and/or disorders. File your complaints with the CDE to get rid of these bias bureaucrats. If you are concerned about the Protected by Superintendent John Collins Poway Unified School District Principals research Highland Ranch Principal - Anita Wilson for yourself. Hum, how many parent complaints does it takes to get rid of a principal for bullying and lying? Park Village Elementary is no different!!!!
