when your child has a learning disability and called a liar many times in front of the whole class room because he can't recall what a teacher has said, shows not only no compassion what so ever, but no respect as well. Integrity!? No, not at this school.

There was a special Ed teacher who seemed to want to help, but in the end, I felt as though he was only doing what he was told. The principal and other staff have verbally told me many times that they couldn't help me with my child, and treated both my child and I as though we were nuts. Having to get the school board, Disability, Ombudsman, etc. involved, I realized I was not the only parent with a child with learning difficulties who had "challenges" with this school.

No, no they do not. The 4th grade Teacher was bullying my child, the principal would not do anything about it, but stood by the teacher saying she has never yelled at my child, nor treated him differently, The teacher would not meet with me about this. And, the Principal would never invite said teacher to conference.

HORRIBLE! this was the worst experience we have ever had with a school!, or with anything! My son had anxiety, seizures they would physically restrain him and shove me out of the office, they would keep him in the nurses office for HOURS instead of having me pick him up! He ended up in the ER a few times due to his being mistreated. He has chased me down the street as I drove off, I found him lying on the side walk scraped up and crying, if I didn't see him in my rear view mirror I would have never known he had left campus as I never received a call! And if you try to get help the principal will retaliate, I am NOT the first person she has retaliated against either. My reviews always get deleted. wondering how long this will stay this time. Also, ask around the neighborhood. So many parents I have met are upset about the way this school is run. Do not Trust ANYONE at this school. I trusted them to help us, but in the end my child ended up having to have therapy from the way he was treated. By the way, look at the 4 stars, they are from 5+ years ago. I will never forget or forgive the experience we had there.

The teacher my son had, was effective of hurting his feelings, of calling him out in front of the rest of the class, would not help my child when he was having issues.

I'm from Brazil and my sons studied in Fletcher and I can say tha Fletcher has outstanding teachers and an outstanding principal. They treated us like family and it was wonderful how they were kind with us. My sons and I miss this school and the awesome staff! Thank you for all!

My daughter attended Kinder here. She went in barely knowing her alphabet & came out reading full books!! Its an amazing school & the staff treats everyone like family. its defiantly a learning environment that kids need to feel comfortable & makes learning easy.

First of all as a former student of this wonderful school, all i have to say was that this school was the best!. The school and it's great staff and teachers and principal, they treated you like family and it's wonderful how they even do it in a way i can't think of! i will forever miss this place!.

Fletcher has a great family feel. Because the playground is also a neighborhood park, you often run into school friends playing or riding bikes. The teachers are great with kids and communicate with parents often. They have an active PTA and a newly formed Dad's Club. They do fun family events like: Carnival, Movie Night, Star Gazing, Turn off TV Week, etc... And this past year there were after school programs (for a fee): Spanish Club, Yoga, Science Club, etc. And they have authors come to campus.. This year the illustrator who created FANCY NANCY came!! they are trying to make it k8.

this is an amazing school! the teachers are awesome, the prinipals they choose always are the best! every teacher makes sure that the students get the education they need to move on to the next level. I am proud to be a former student here at fletcher :D

There is not enough room to say all the wonderful things I have to say about Fletcher Elementary. I re-wrote this review three times and it was still too long. So here's the short story. Fletcher has outstanding teachers, an outstanding principal, outstanding activities, and outstanding parent involvement. I believe Fletcher is THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE SAN DIEGO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT! Their scores tell the story. The low performing school that Fletcher feeds into should be forced to close its doors forever!
