THIS WAS THE WORST SCHOOL EXPERIENCE AND HAVE EVER ATTENDED.
i had a White history teacher lady with curly red-ish hair. I had a lot of mental health problems in school and once had a meeting with my teachers where i cried and she ROLLED HER EYES in front of me and my mom the entire time. I would ask for makeup work and she in front of the class said “are you even going to do it” SO INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL. This School does not care about your children’s education, happiness or health. They made my life miserable here as a high schooler. She would also flirt with boy students in the class.
I had to move schools to even be able to graduate because of how little school counselors cared.

I learned a lot in my English classes and I felt like the teacher in my Biology class truly cared whether I learned or not.

The relationships I formed while there, I treasure today.

Can't think of any examples of leadership.

B+ is the grade I would give.

I don't remember doing any homework when I was there. And yet, my grades were above average.

I had made memories and made friends.

We got a fair amount of homework. In some classes, the homework is only extra credit or work to get ahead, which was nice.

It was 1977, life was alot different?

I felt like I mattered in a difficult time in my life. I may have been "different" than others, only because we were all different.

I went from a below average student to an above average student.

I was an out of state student. and remember how great some of the teachers were so accepting and understanding without being judgmental.

I've noticed a lot of these reviews are really vague and generally unhelpful, so i've taken it upon myself to give an accurate description of the environment here. The students: Very diverse, to the point where caucasian students are the minority. Students are generally peaceful but there is a "bad crowd" of kids, like at every school. The Teachers: The teachers here vary widely. You have some who make it obvious that they love their job and their students, whose classes are very enjoyable. Then you also have teachers who are apathetic or underqualified (it's a known rumor that a football coach is teaching a physics class and students on the football team get better grades than the others in his class). Teachers here are also open to students voicing their opinion. I can vouch for myself that the teachers i've been assigned to have had great teaching skills and we're a joy to be around. The Staff: Counselors are very easy going, except for those who are new to the school. In my experience, they tend to have the best interests for students. Through what i've seen and heard, I assume they prefer to handle matters with students on a one to one basis rather than call parents in.
