Lee Elementary School

My kiddo has gone to Pacific ViewLeadershipElementary (formerly Lee) since Prek, and he is about to graduate to Middle School. It has been great year after year. My little has always loved going to school.

The new principal has made positive changes to improve the school greatly. They have a motto, to know every student by name and by need, and ALL the staff display it. The staff works hard to ensure each student is reached, and that families are involved every step of the way.

Families are welcomed on campus, and invited to be a part of the environment. There are multiple events monthly to encourage parent engagement, plus field trips, committees and extra events throughout the year. The staff works to instill a community feel on campus, where everyone (students and families alike) feels safe, seen and heard.

I cannot say enough good things about this school. It has been an incredible journey at PVLE. I am so thankful.

This school was were my kids were assigned and it was close to where we lived. I wish it were better, with the fact that it is a 5 out of 10 in the great school rating. My youngest received an academic achievement award the two years that he attended there. My oldest had an IEP since kindergarten to 5th grade and received as much support as the school can provide. They make the kids walk/run on gravel every morning and this has caused us to buy more shoes than necessary every year. I appreciated the school supplies provided by the school every year and the yearly holiday pageantry.

I had two boys go this school. All the teachers my boys had were all helpful and communicated fairly well what needs to get done to help them do better with their learning. The after-school program in place allows my kids to complete their homework in school so that has been helpful in lessening stress at home.

The teachers we’ve met and taught my children were efficient to an extent based on what they are allowed to do. In my experience, they were all helpful, kind and supportive.

In a way, the school has helped developed a strong character in its students by providing great teaching but the leadership needs some work. The before and after school care program has been helpful with the students as well, especially in respect and compassion amongst students and their peers.

The principal was helpful to an extent but she has been snippy a bunch of times. The office personnel need to learn better customer service attitude and not be snippy as well. I believe they were being snippy because the principal was snippy. I noticed that if a new person works there, she is being told not to be as helpful as she can — and I have seen that more than twice with different temps helping out.

In my experience, the school has provided support for students who have IEPs and that has been a good experience for us. I’m not sure what happens to children who don’t have IEPs. The teachers have reached out constantly for things that can be improved to help my child.

I believe that all bullying issues have been resolved in a timely manner.

This school is nothing but great. The teachers really care for the childrens education. They have great lesson plans that keep the children learning and growing at a fast speed. Wonderful School for your child to attend. Also the area is nice and peaceful.

I had mixed emotions about this school with neighbors saying it was a bad school. In the contrary its not at all that. The school has great teachers that are dedicated to there jobs. Among the teachers is Mr. Alcorn who won the Teacher of the year award!. PTA fluctuates when different board members are in but this year it looks great! School night events are packed and I see that parents give a lot to the school needs (supplies and event items). Wish more kids came to the school so that our teachers wouldn't have to be forced to leave (they really are great teachers and we have to loose them due to attendance as well. :( Its a shame how people perception from the outside is and they don't take the time to look at the school from the inside. its a beautiful school and always clean!!
