This middle school has so much potential: small, nice teachers, however, not much supervision unfortunately. I don't know if they are lacking employees, but I have a child who currently attends Montgomery middle school and I hear all about the kids fighting and bullying. Always discipline problems, cutting in line, while kids are waiting for food at the cafeteria. Where is the Staff? I think the staff just ignores it and doesn't want to deal with it. A real Shame. Also, academically, I noticed a lot of leniency. When an assignment is due if you don't turn it in: suffer the consequences . Don't make the other kids wait around for the undisciplined students. I guess if the teachers didn't give so many opportunities to undiscipline students they would have a lot of Failed students. The principal is new and perhaps doesn't know how to deal with the many, many roudy, undisciplined students. The school is low income, but I've worked in schools in similar economically challenged schools and the kids were well behaved and polite. This school needs a stricter setting all around and a talking to some of these kids parents. Do they want to graduate? Maybe the kids know they will pass classes regardless of all their behavioral issues. The sdusd can't pay for all these kids to repeat grades so just keep passing them along. This school as I said has great potential it just needs stricter guidelines

Our son entered halfway the year and was received very well. Although the outside of the school may look a bit unattractive, inside a lot of good things happen. My son was accepted and welcomed by staff, teachers and fellow students since the first day. He felt at ease immediately. Particularly the robotics and PE- classes were amongst his favorites. Teachers and staff are very involved and really try to make this place the best for the students.
Prime Time is great, and the basketball season was the best experience for him.

Excellent if only i had chosen better words. The afteschool programs allow every student to achieve alot and strive for what they deserve as she said there there is an amazing staff member who helps the school by engaging students in a homework club founded by the counselor.
