I’ve had a great experience at Montgomery High for my sophomore student. The teachers and administration really care about the students. There is a big focus on helping students and staff to work with their natural strengths. There are strong athletics and a growing arts scene.

This specific school is a really bad school to send your kids to. for starters this school teaches their students a lot of pointless things such a strengths. i really don't know how my kid is going to use strengths later in life. another thing about this school is there are many teachers at this school who's teaching methods are not good for kids trying to learn, some students struggle in class and a lot teachers really don't seem to notice this and those students end up failing, such as my son. another thing i would like to point out is how some students in Physical Education class really struggle, this one time my kids told me about how a students heart was hurting and she couldn't breath properly and the Physical Education teacher still made that students do the activity they had to do. something else is the way this school handles bullyng. first of the school does a horrible job on stopping this and sometimes dont even do anything about it. one this i would like to inform is how dirty and outdated and unstable this campus really is. there is usually trash over the floor and some places don't even get cleaned up. my child tells me about how they do a horrible job to clean the bathroom and even take care of the bathrooms. one time my child told me about how he walked in to use the bathroom one time and there was some kids vapin the restroom. something else i would like too disclose is the fact that a kid one time was taken pictures of while using the restroom. the school dosen't allow students to take their phones when they have a hall pass but my kid tells me about how they see some students still have bathroom pass with them and still have their phones in theres hands. toal rating of this school i give it a 0 stars. do not bring your kids here.

The school never answers the phone and then they will say your student has unjustified absences. No voice mail is set up either. The most unprofessional school district.

This school has changed from those previous reviews. Every school will have fights. The people here are actually very welcoming, and not snobby and stuck up.

My school is Montgomery High School. Montgomery High School has great teacher's who are willing to help student achieve their full potential if ask and have the BEST school spirit I've seen in a long time. My son was a shy student from the beginning of his freshman year and would not talk to anyone or smile when he has the most beautiful smile ever!!. After attending Montgomery High School and joining sports, he is know an excellent young man, talks and interacts with more people and even wants to attend a University instead of a small college. I am a happy mother. This is what school is all about. GO AZTECS!!! I LOVE this school.

So far, most of my experience with the teacher's have not been good. There are, however, some that are very four coming with information about your child. Most of the teacher's do not respond to e-mails in a timely matter and that is the frustrating part.

My kids attended Otay Ranch High as well as Castle Park before attending Montgomery. This was by far the worst school experience. The campus is unsafe, kids that don't attend are regularly on campus starting trouble. There are fights on campus weekly if not daily. The staff seems to let these kids run a muck and refuse to take responsibility. It's hard to believe they have no idea who is causing all these problems and deal with it. Teachers hear kids talk, it's their job to pay attention to these things. After 3 fights in a 2 week period I just took my kid out. While my son had the courage to stick up for himself, what about the kids who can't? It's the staffs responsibility to keep this from happening.
