We will be glad to say goodbye to this school when it becomes Vida. Good riddance.
There's a sign on the gate out front made out of blue solo cups that spells "BE KIND". My kid says it should really read "Be kind...of an a******" because of all the bullying that goes on there. Administration blames victims for not sticking up for themselves, doesn't punish the kids who do it, and the teachers ignore it and let it keep happening. Avoid.

They allow Students how have been victims of assaults both physical and verbal to continue to be harassed. When reported to the school board they don't return calls.

Worst yet they try to make its seem like a nice school. It's not!

The school Principal Ayala forces students to acknowledge and respect him at the same time dismissing them and shutting them out.

They take no responsibility and try to pawn you off until you give up.

I 100% agree with the previous statement about bullying . After many attempts to work with this school and my child getting in trouble for sticking up for herself, the school wasn't, she was assaulted and the video was posted on social media. Once I brought it to the schools attention they smirked and said, "your child should have not said anything back to her." WHAT A JOKE!!! This girl was a grade higher than my child and they both got the same punishment. I am pulling my child from this school and will be filling a suit under the bullying protection law. Also, if your child has any kind of medical issue that requires medication daily, this school will not manage it correctly. MY CHILD ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL! Only after I have threaten to hire an attorney they decided to comply with the law. It is obvious that this school does not have her best interest at heart.

Rancho minerva condones bullying by students to other students. When I approached the school concerning my child being bullied the principal visited the classroom and told the children to basically be nice to eachother. Well just to let you know the child is still bullying . Zero tolerance ??? interestingly enough though if your child starts to act out because bullying is affecting him and his leaders have failed then the school does everything to get involved with detentions and phone calls. How about this rancho how does zero tolerance and 100% personal responsibility on your part seem. I mean leaders should lead by example. Worst school ever!

Love, Love this school. This is our first year and I could not be happier. I adore Mrs. Borah and Mr. Prieto. The teachers are terrific! This school gets a bad rap. I was not going to attend either due to demographics and test scores but was willing to try the school we are closes to. You will not be disappointed if you come to our campus. The principal is always around and willing to talk to any parent that has questions. Very, Very happy.

Rancho Minerva is a hidden gem. My child attended Madison for one year, and now Rancho Minerva. In my experience, the "bad influences" are significantlly fewer at Rancho Minerva, the classes are smaller leading to greater teacher involvement with individual students, and best of all, the teachers are excellent. My child is noticed, respected, and rewarded for being a contributor at Rancho Minerva, as opposed to being ignored and underserved at over-crowded Madison. Different schools fit different children in different ways. Rancho Minerva fits my family's needs extremely well. Do your own research and decide.
