First and foremost, Not Just a Elementary School TK-8th and the dedicated faculty and staff at St. Boss School deserve the highest praise. Their commitment to nurturing young minds is evident in every aspect of the school's operation. The teachers go above and beyond to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. They are not just educators but mentors who inspire and encourage our children to reach their full potential.
The curriculum at St. Boss is both comprehensive and innovative. It strikes a remarkable balance between academic rigor and the development of essential life skills. My child is not only excelling in core subjects but is also gaining valuable insights into critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. The school's emphasis on Faith education is truly commendable.
Parents, teachers, and students collaborate closely to create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. The school regularly organizes events and meetings that encourage parents' involvement in their children's education, creating a true partnership between home and school. School Tuition and Class sizes are amazing. Check it out if you can, you wont be disappointed...

Small knit community, even my husband says its a hidden gem. I started when my sons were in TK/Kinder and I plan to keep them until 8th grade, which is what 99% of the parents have done/plan to do. Tuition is the most affordable that I know in the valley. Additionally, dont hesitate to apply for tuition assistance to see if youre eligible.

St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Private School in Lake Balboa is an absolute gem! As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the education and nurturing environment they provide for our Child.
From the moment we stepped foot on campus, we felt welcomed by the warm and caring staff. The faculty's dedication to creating a well-rounded education that integrates faith and values is truly remarkable. My Child has not only excelled academically but have also grown into compassionate, respectful, and responsible individuals.
The school's commitment to fostering a sense of community is evident in every aspect of their programs. The extracurricular activities and events bring families together, creating lasting friendships and a strong support system.
The facilities at St. Bridget of Sweden provide a safe and engaging learning environment for my daughter. The classrooms are equipped with modern technology, and there are ample resources to support both traditional and innovative teaching methods, along with small class sizes.
One aspect that sets this school apart is its emphasis on faith formation. The spiritual guidance and religious education have helped our children develop a deeper understanding of their faith, which has positively influenced their character and decision-making.
The teachers here are not only highly skilled professionals but also compassionate mentors who genuinely care about their students' well-being and success. Mr. Hernandez has gone the extra mile to ensure my child receives personalized attention and support to reach her full potential.
In conclusion, St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Private School has exceeded my wife and my expectations in every way. It's a place where faith, education, and community thrive harmoniously. We wholeheartedly recommend this school to any parent seeking a nurturing, faith-based education for their children. Our family feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the St. Bridget of Sweden community!

St. Bridget is a great school! The school makes the students, and the parents as well, feel that we are a big family. The students pretty much know each other and care for each other. The faculties and staff are really attentive to the needs of the students and they are very transparent. They offer a balance of academic and extracurricular activities to hone the students to become successful in life without compromising their faith and values. My son loves this school so much and so do we!

St. Bridget is a wonderful school. We truly feel blessed with the teachers & principal.
Ms. Villegas & Ms. Ramos have been wonderful to our little one. Our child has learned so much and continues to make great progress.
We also appreciate the great communication via telephone, email, and messenger.
The school principal, Mrs. Nassar, is heavily involved. I believe this is one of the reasons why the school is so great.
She has made great decisions during Covid.

This is an amazing small K-8 school that is competitively priced. Your child's face isn't lost in a sea of students because the class sizes are smaller than that of a traditional public school. The teachers are friendly and reachable. They even have a resource instructor to supplement children who struggle a bit. Although keeping up with fundraising and service hours can be challenging, I feel at ease my child is enrolled at St. Bridget of Sweden because of the smaller tight knit community. They offer before and after school day care that is affordable.
A catholic education is very important to me and my family. With the mundane topics of the standard school curriculum , it's the Christian stories that my child remembers and recites to me and I'm so very blessed to see these topics interest him.
Although the school does not have a cafeteria, they have a food service that delivers hot meals on full school days. My child came from a public school where the student body can look like a sea of students where there is no interaction. However on his first day of school at St. Bridget of Sweden he told me how he was greeted by a group of students. It is interactions like this that set St. Bridget of Sweden apart from large public schools. We really struck gold with this school and I'm so happy my child is in good hands.

My children have attended since kindergarten (about 8 years at this point) and I have to say the changes over the past 3 years have been incredibly good for the school, students and church community. The Principal, Mrs Nassar is a real star and the teachers here are great. There is always room for improvement but trust me when I say that the school is worth giving a try.

I am a proud alumni of St. Bridget of Sweden school. I spent seven wonderful years of my childhood at the school. So when deciding on where to send my daughter, St. Bridgets was an easy decision. Although, all my old teachers and staff have gone, the school spirit remains the same. The teachers and staff are all friendly and helpful; they make their students their number one priority and have helped navigate parents through these difficult times. The school is also welcoming to all denominations who would like their children educated in the word of God. We look forward to many more years with the school and hope more wonder parents will choose to be part of our growing community.

St. Bridget of Sweden is a hidden gem. I enrolled my TK daughter this year from another school that my daughter wasn't adjusting well to. Her teacher, Ms. Cruz, the aid Ms. Ramos, and the principal Mrs. Nassar and all angels. The entire staff also are so nice and kind. They were and still are so welcoming caring and understanding. My daughter loves school and her teachers and her peers. It's a small community school and perfect for her. They have remodeled the inside building and put in a new playground. It has a wonderful music program and the boys basketball team made it to the playoffs this year. I hope they win the championship! This school us amazing and I'm truly blessed my daughter is a part.

With the support of the Archdiocese, this school has placed an emphasis on helping the students become a well rounded individual with morals, and also gives the student a feeling of community and belonging.

There is a new principal who is young, but with enough experience in both teaching and administration. The Principal has a wonderful personality and is present for both the students, and the parents. Which is such a nice change for our school!

If a child is struggling the teachers offer free tutoring after school on certain days which helps the child get the support needed to understand the concept they are struggling with and overcome that struggle.

As an alumnus of St. Bridget of Sweden (SBS), I believe I have an insight to SBS that most parents do not. I attended SBS from 1st-8th grade and I loved every year while I was there. One thing that is a fact is that SBS runs more like a family business than an institution. Personally, that is one of their greatest benefits for many reasons. I graduated in 2008 and since then, I have gone back every year to see all my teachers and catch up. SBS has an extremely low turnover rate; only two teachers are no longer at SBS that have been teaching there since my 1st grade. Another benefit of this family business mentality is that the teachers do not care about anything more than the well-being and success of their students. They are all accredited teachers and they truly have a passion for teaching. I will be the first to admit that their academic rigor may not compare to other schools in the area but I always felt challenged during my time there. If parents are reading these reviews to base their decision to send your child to a school based off of academic rigor, I would advise you that SBS was rigorous enough for me to obtain a foundation to do well in all of my schooling. After SBS, I moved on to attend Alemany HS and I graduated with honors and then was admitted to the University of San Francisco and I graduated with honors in 4 years. I assure you SBSs academics are well and one thing that you will get from SBS that you will not get from any other school is a second family for a life time. To this day, the greatest friends that I have are some of my classmates from SBS. SBS not only teaches you the academics that a school is supposed to teach or the religion that a Catholic school is supposed to teach but they also teach and set an example of the fundamentals that will allow you to succeed in life during and after schooling. They taught me how to always be focused in what mattered during that specific stage of my life. They taught me the value of dedication and how what you do not only reflects in your own life but also reflects in the lives around you. I can assure you that you will never find a principal more involved and dedicated in a school than SBSs principal. The principal and teachers set a wonderful example and show the compassion and love that young children and adolescents should be exposed to.

Dysfunctional! This is the best way I can describe the school. Save your money and look into a good public or charter school. There is a horrible bullying problem. My daughter was constantly harassed and teased by the meanest kids in the class. When we brought this to the attention of school administrators and teachers they made it sound like my daughter brought the bullying or they would feign ignorance. It got so bad that my daughter was jumped at one point by kids and the principal did nothing. I pulled my kid out in mid year because the school could not stop the constant harassment. The principal is a complete buffoon! However, what do I expect when the principal doubles as the janitor. In addition, the teachers are mean and in need of training. They are not unified in what they teach or even willing to use new pedagogical ideas. Did I say they were mean? The teachers are mean and they play favorites and its usually the kids who are either high achievers or from the families that are willing to donate a lot of money to the church or the school. I will regret to the grave ever putting my kids in that so called school.

My child have attended this school for the past 4 years. They have constantly low numbers in the classes, so students benefit from lots of teacher attention. Also they split up the kids according to ability levels for math and reading. So kids are always being challenged or getting the added help they need. A hidden gem in the valley!

Ever since ive been in this school ive been miserable. THE BULLYING NEEDS TO STOP. The faculty allows foul play, and all forms of bullying to commence during school hours alone. Please take into account that ive been with this school since kindergarten, which is a mere 8 years of dedication, donations, generosity, and so much more and for that devotion of my family's time, i get nothing but a little brush whenever i try to confront the faculty about serious matters. This includes student rights, educational matters, and matters based upon the fact that bullying in any form is just sinful and should be prohibeted, especially if such matters are performed in front of an adults eyes. You might tell by the way im writing this review that the school has a generally good educational base. But the fact of the matter is that most of the education that we are taught is literally taught through arts and crafts and not as much books and notes. Serious improvements need to be made at this school!

Most of the teacher's appear dedicated and the turn over rate is low. Kids receive the basic reading, writing and math. School is also very safe. On the negative side however, the school needs a major revamping as it looks run down and there is no full or part time janitor to keep the school clean. Not sure what is going on with the school budget or where the money goes. Additionally, school needs a new principal with more energy and fresh ideas. I am certain the school can tap into the archdiocese for help with projects that could improve the school so not sure why administration has not looked into this. Lastly, the school needs to keep up with technology by providing kids with tablets for homework/reading and also by keeping website current. Oh and parents and students being able to log in to check progress/assignments.

What a fantastic place for children to grow and learn. St. Bridget of Sweden is a small school where everyone feels like family. The students, faculty and staff are all friendly and respectful. They pride themselves in being a place where kids are encouraged to reach a little bit further all the time. The principal is a true gift to the school. He has been there for dozens of years and is always looking out for all of the kids, faculty and parents. There are many, many former students who make it a point to bring their children to this school so they can have the same high quality education that they had. We are so blessed that we have our children at SBS!

Awful school. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I was beaten and bullied. I was too scared to tell anyone what happened and my mother saw bruises on me and immediately went to the school -- my teacher told my mother I had been crying every day in class and didn't even think to call my mother and tell her what had been going on, The principle couldn't care less. I would NEVER EVER send a child here. It is truly a god-less place with awful people running the school. Do NOT send your child here. Mean kids and mean teachers.

This school has been the worst experience. All they care about is tution but when it comes to bullying they take no action in the well being of the children. Teachers that don't even have their credentials and are abusive to students. The principal is very passive and does not run the school the way it should run. This is supposed to be a private catholic school but they tolerate bullying. I would never recommend this school to no one.
