My kid were both bullied at this school mentality and physically. Teachers and staff dont care and just pretend it didnt
happen.
The school is not accredited nor are the teachers and staff. All the students are behind in all subjects. I really dont understand how this school is still open, or how it is legally open.
They kicked my daughter out of the school within 1 day notice because of bullying and discrimination ..
My daughter had been suffering from alot of health issues because unfair treatment.

Save your money. This place should be shut down. The teachers are not accredited, the principal is clueless and its all ran by men. The curriculum is archaic. They dont require children to be vaccinated of any sort. So if you want your kids to get mumps and measles send them there. They put uniforms on kids and say theyre Christian but they are bullies and think they are better than others. Its a glorified day care. My kids were super behind academically after they went there. I would not recommend this place Im surprised they are still open.

I could not be more happy with Beautiful Savior! We came from a highly regarded public school where my daughter had excellent teachers. However, she was not thriving at her public school. Beautiful Savior was a game changer for her. The classes are small and the individualized attention she got from her teacher really helped her develop confidence in herself. In general we have found the students to be an amazing group of kind and caring kids - exactly the type any parent would want their kids to be around. There has been no bullying at this school whatsoever. The school itself is beautiful. The classroom are large and the play areas well kept and very nice. I will close by saying that we are not members of the church and we have found that has not made an iota of a difference in how we and our daughter are treated. The school welcomed her with open arms. We have found the other parents to be an extremely genuine and warm group. All in all, I recommend Beautiful Savior to any parent looking for a small, peaceful and child centered school!

Ridiculously poorly administrated. Sado for the few teachers that are there to actually make a difference.

You can go ahead and add bullying to that too!

Administration is a joke! Looking out for their own best interest and not of the students.

Not every parent is happy at the school . No one will mention their concerns because they don't want to be treated like other families have been. Just last year an entire family was bullied and shunned for standing up for their child. The school is lucky they weren't sued for their neglect. It's a shame to hear that parents are aware of the situation and keep mentioning it. It shows how they continue to bully people. The administration and board condone it. If your family is part of the church you know everything about all the families. If you are not then you are just and outsider. This is wrong . I am seriously reconsidering being here. Especially after these recent posts and an email telling us to give positive feedback. If you have nothing to worry about then you shouldn't be soliciting .

Still a great delay in homework instruction and comsistancy
Posted: September 1, 2017
Ineffective discipline. The teachers continue to bully kids as much as other children in the past. They threaten kids everyday with being sent to the principals office.
Posted: September 1, 2017
Leadership is ineffective . Allows parents to bully other parents . Allows teachers to bully parents . Instead of resolving issues is at the center of problems. Why send an email to parents to place a positive response. There are plenty of parents unhappy who are afraid to say anything because of how the school bullied a family last year.
Posted: September 1, 2017
They can be told a hundred times and they continually forget childrens needs .
Posted: September 1, 2017
How can they ? They perpetuate it even with the parents .
Posted: September 1, 2017
One of my children has some challenges in this area, and they have been very supportive and worked with us, even outside of the classroom time in order to help them. This sets them apart, not many schools have the bandwith to help students who are dealing with more challenges, but they were more than willing!
Posted: September 1, 2017
I have never had my child bullied, but in the past I saw a certain parent that is no longer are at the school encourage inappropriate behavior of their minor children in this area. Unfortunately, as you seen in schools, sometimes parents can be the biggest challenges and not even the children. And it only takes one parent to cause problems for many others. The administration appropriately handled it and so the school is free of the toxic behavior to ensure bullying isn't tolerated.

I am beyond blessed to have this as my school. If you want your child to have a solid foundation in the Word of God and be trained the way he should go- you will find that here. There is great commroadary between the teachers, parents and students. I'm beyond grateful to call this place my children's school. I would encourage readers to come visit the school to see for themselves the truth of what a wonderful place this is to send your child.

Parents/students are given clear instructions weekly on homework assignments. They also do a good job of continuing to always keep you in the loop as to kids scores/grades so a parent has insight into how our child is performing. School does an excellent job of weaving in electronic learning appropriately and to my liking not excessively. They do an excellent job of training children- students at this school have a tendency to continue to learn a better rate due to the excellent teacher-student ratio.

All three of the different teachers my children have worked with have been superb. Very good at communicating with parents but also very organized and capable at their jobs. They all are so passionate about what they do, its not just a paycheck to them, but its a true calling for them. They are all wonderful!
Posted: September 1, 2017
The teachers, principal and admin support leads by example when it comes to this. The reason I chose the school was because of what a loving atmosphere was present. In all the schools I toured, this was the one where the people were genuine and they genuinely wanted to see your child grow to be students who excel in their relationship with the Lord, excel in curricul and excel in loving others. They even do a buddy system at chapel where older kids connect with the youngest kids. It creates a wonderful environment that the oldest aren't segregated from the youngest. It is one big loving family. Amazing- you don't find this sort of place all over!

The principal has been amazing to work with. In the past, there has been some difficult parents who have stirred up problems (and who continue to do it on here) in order to discredit him and slander him, but he has so much integrity. He is clear on guidelines and appropriate conduct. Being a leader means upsetting people at times, because you can't please everyone and he does a wonderful job of maintaining trust, integrity and morale aptitude. I am honored that he is our principal!

Bad administration . Issues with bullying . Your son was bullied and principal did nothing to help. Never returned calls and ignored requests. Children forced to sing at church or family harassed for not attending even though they knew your family was not a member of church. You are glad you took out your son in December .

I absolutely love the school. I've seen my children grow so much the last couple years since attending. The teachers principal and staff are so loving. I couldn't ask for a better place! It's a true gem to find! The teachers genuinely care about the students. There is so much one on one attention given which is wonderful for each child to feel important, loved, and nurtured. I am very happy that I have chosen and continue to choose for my kids to go to the school. The school continues to do really good improvements which is wonderful to see. It allows children of all different types to learn in different ways. What a wonderful school!

I have enjoyed the curriculum for my two children . My son has really enjoyed his time spent here. I know last year they had a lot of bullying issues where they lost good families . This year they seem to have learned from their mistakes . Unfortunately I think it is sad that the principal issues a letter for all parents to write a positive response . That does not sit well with me. This seems like a way of just covering up everything as if it never happened. It's obvious that they are following his request by the flood of reviews in the last couple of days. Why should parents be forced to write reviews . Why include in email that it was a disgruntled parent? Why was the parent disgruntled? It concerns me what is being hidden.

This small school is a hidden gem. Everyone knows each other, and all ages play and are kind with one another. The new 2-4 teacher was impressed with how good the kids are. It's amazing to see 4K-8th grade sit in chapel and not utter a peep. The kids are well-behaved, they are taught a solid academic curriculum and learn about God's love at the same time and it is evident. My 8 year old remembers bible stories better than I do! They learn bible verses as well. He really struggled with reading before coming here but has made large advances. Also, both of my kids have food allergies and the school has all worked together to make sure they are safe in their environment. We love it here and I always feel that is a very special place and am constantly amazed that we found it and more people haven't come here yet!

The school has worked with us when we brought our daughters learning difference to their attention. She was given the time needed to complete her work and didn't feel singled out because of it.
Posted: August 28, 2017
We've never had an issue with bullying but I can't imagine the faculty turning a blind eye to it if it did occur with other students
Posted: August 28, 2017
We received information at the beginning of the week as to what our daughter would be doing during clsss as well as what was expected at home.
Posted: August 28, 2017
We initially sent our daughter to the school because she didn't meet the Birthday cut off that is a new California mandate, but we kept her at the school because we wanted her to continue to be with the same teacher for first grade. She is an amazing teacher and nurtured our daughters love of learning.
Posted: August 28, 2017
My daughter has a speech impediment and she has never been made to feel different or less than because of this.
Posted: August 28, 2017
There has been a little upheaval in the staff of the school but they have handled it with great integrity and with the willingness to work together to make the transition easy.
Posted: August 28, 2017
10/10 we never intended to keep our daughter in private school, but now can not imagine her going to public school. Our son will be 4K age next year and it is our intention to send him there right along with his sister.
Posted: August 28, 2017
I am so honored to be sending my children to this school. It is very accepting, warm and loving atmosphere. My children come from a challenging home situation, so I was so thankful to find a school that was so warm and loving. You don't find this anywhere. And, I went to the same type of school myself and can say that it was a great experience and has only been a great experience thus far. Academically, your child will receive individualized attention. Emotionally and psychologically, your child will be accepted, loved and allowed to grow in a nurturing environment.
Posted: August 28, 2017
Teachers are incredibly organized in their approach to homework. Parents are given instructions at the beginning of the year as to work load and assignments. My son is in the 4K program and it is amazing. They are doing alot of outdoors classwork which is very engaging and such a learning adventure for the kids.
Posted: August 28, 2017
The kids really respect the teachers that are in place. They provide parents solid plans of how they are going to run the classroom and how disciplinary problems will be handled. I have seen both my children tremendously grow academically, emotionally and spiritually during their time at Beautiful Saviour.
Posted: August 28, 2017
I've already mentioned this but the growth that I've seen in both my kids has been tremendous. As someone who has worked for years with children, I've never seen a school where even the older kids are caring/loving towards the younger children. They take great pride in teaching children to love, respect and encourage one another. I am so honored that my children have the opportunity to go to this school!
Posted: August 28, 2017
The principal is man of great integrity. When challenging parents posed a detriment to other families this was dealt with in a professional manner. It is never easy to deal with emotionally charged individuals and I've been incredibly impressed with their ability to do so.
Posted: August 28, 2017
While my children don't have learning challenges, others children I know have. They are very accommodating to them, the parents I know have told me how grateful that the teachers are willing to work with them. One of the best things about being in a smaller environment is the children have even better care and attention than anywhere else.
Posted: August 28, 2017
I chose to send my two children here because of the loving environment that exists. The adults are incredible examples of this. We have never had a problem with bullying. I have only seen an environment of love, but they do establish rules/guidelines on how they handle these problems which are given to the parents.
Posted: August 28, 2017
Enrolling my child at this school was the best decision I have ever made! Everyday I'm amazed at how much she has learned, evidenced by her high grades on tests. She at 10 years old has the maturity of an older child, looks forward to going to school everyday, easily makes friends and treats all the children with care and love. No school could prepare her for high school better and most importantly she loves the Lord with all her heart.
Posted: August 28, 2017
My child is in the 5th grade and has attended school here since kindergarten. They give each student enough time to complete every assignment in class, homework is memorization & studying for tests.
Posted: August 28, 2017
The school teachers have decades of experience & with the low student to teacher ratio they have more time to give the children one on one attention when they need it. They all teach the children with love & use the word of God while teaching.
Posted: August 28, 2017
When you teach children the word of God as well as academics it creates an atmosphere of compassion and respect not towards for the staff but for those who attend the school and for everyone in the students life.
Posted: August 28, 2017
My daughter has a significant learning disability, the teachers are aware and work with her differently/individually which has allowed her to thrive and keeps her up to the same level as the other children in her grade.

Our son has attended BSLES for three years with 2 to go, with no intention of transferring, and our three year old will attend when he is old enough, to solidify intent. The curriculum is challenging and is structured with enough flexibility to allow for advancements in subjects where individuals exceed standards. Extracurricular activities are limited, but given the size of the school I would expect nothing more. Volleyball and Basketball are the only two sports available, and music classes are offered during and after school.
We are not church members and always feel welcomed and loved. Our son loves his classmates and staff and never had any trouble with bullying.

Children get yelled at and shamed for not understanding tasks. Other children belittle children that are not at the same academic level.
Posted: August 17, 2017
You get what you pay for. If you want a place where your child will eventually be shamed and feel inferior this is the place to go.
Posted: August 17, 2017
Unfortunately because of the combined classrooms paperwork takes months to be returned so you have no idea how your child is achieving academically until the quarter is over
Posted: August 17, 2017
They have little support from the Principal and board that they can only work day to day but overall school effectiveness is stagnant.
Posted: August 17, 2017
Children are programmed to thinking they are bad and girls are treated inferior to boys. Instead of building childrens self esteems they try to break them thru public humiliation and shaming. Very cultish approach .
Posted: August 17, 2017
Non-existing , ineffective, and dismismissable of serious issues. Definitely do not meet lesdership requirement of any educational institution. Minimal education by the Principal which is supercedes by the staff. Antiquated philosophies and definitely not true to California standards.
Posted: May 3, 2017
They don't have a special education department, to small. However, teachers do work hard with each individual student to understand where they are at and what they can achieve.
Posted: May 3, 2017
Extremely strong leadership, they have a principal of 30 years, pastors have 70 plus years between them.
Posted: May 3, 2017
Based on Biblical principles, Christian character is developed and imprinted with-in students from K-4 all the way through 8th. Character is shaped by instruction, accountability. correction and teacher Modeling. In the past they have offered parenting classes to assist parents also in building kids of good character.

Fantastic teachers, that will engage parents, greet and discuss individual issues after school or any time, by email, phone or in person! The caring and gentle Principal is available in person to discuss any matter, academic, test scores, concerns, children behavior issues, all for the betterment of the student body! Additionally, they have two pastors serving with the principal on staff, strongly engaged with the school, to establish and maintain a safe, care and concern atmosphere for students, parents, faculty and staff. Small classroom size helps to students thrive.
Posted: May 3, 2017
They have time during the day to do their daily work, and there is some fair amount of regular homework of memory work, unfinished subject matter, and special projects, however If you have lazy kids or don't stay on top of it--it can snowball.

We had three children go through this school. Accredited school with Solid academics, plenty of extra curricular activities- sports, music, art etc. and aggressive balanced curriculum. Additionally, they stress memory work to continuously exercise the mind. Parents should be ready for a rigorous program of learning. The atmosphere is strongly Christian, with a Bible based core set of values.

We had two children who attended BSLS for several years, until we moved out of the area. They very much enjoyed their time there and have great love and admiration for the teachers and staff. A strong foundation in Christianity, respect, and diligence was built and something they draw upon every day. They transitioned into their current school with little effort, well prepared academically and socially. Both children have excelled in reading and math, something we certainly credit the school with fostering. We were not church members nor felt overly burdened to participate. Everything felt nicely balanced, and the kids felt safe, nurtured, and loved.

Our four children started at OBS this school year and we have been very happy. They moved two of our children a grade higher in math based on testing at the beginning of the year. The math instruction is very strong and our oldest child went from a D to an A in spelling in one quarter. The teachers are also the coaches in volleyball, flag football and basketball at no extra cost. There are very reasonable after-school programs in Art and Spanish. Piano lessons are also available during the school day at affordable rates. Our children are relieved that they no longer have to keep their faith to themselves at school. The required, weekly "memory work" of Bible verses and hymns, aside from instructing them in their Christian faith, has helped every aspect of their academic progress as well. The mixed grades foster respect among the children regardless of age or grade. The older students often mentor younger ones. If a child fails to complete an assignment or does not do her homework, she must spend recess completing the work. The kids have access to computers and ipads and are rewarded with educational but fun game apps when their work is completed.

When I was searching for a private school for my child, I sought one that offered both reasonable tuition, as well as individualized attention to meet my daughter s specific needs. My daughter s preschool teacher recommended Beautiful Saviour. Tuition of $4,000 and a class of less than 10 students certainly caught my attention. That, combined with it being a Christian school, seemed to be an ideal situation for us. In the years that my daughter has spent at Beautiful Saviour, she has grown tremendously. My daughter s teacher expects great things from the children and treats them accordingly. The children are looked at as individuals with their own personal and academic challenges that both the parents and teachers work together with the children to overcome. I feel blessed that my child is able to spend this impressionable time in her life in such a caring environment!

Both of our children have attended Beautiful Savior since Kindergarten. They are both doing well as students and growing into great young Christian people. The school has done a great job of instilling in the kids a great work ethic, respect for others, and a true sense of belonging. The sports program is inclusive of tuition, there is tutoring and Hot Lunch available each Wednesday. The teachers and church are truly a committed group of people that have made a wonderful difference in the students lives.

Wonderful learning environment for the kids. The staff and teachers are amazing instructors. Small class sizes provides for more one on one attention and better for kids to excel. An extremely friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
