This school allows bullies to harass students. Some of the parents get involved in this harassment as well through gossip and discussions with their children. The administration seems to take sides with those who are active participants in their church instead of being fair to everyone.

Again, the multi-grade classroom setting allows quick learners to pick up on and be engaged in what the older students are learning, and if a student learns at a different pace than the rest in his or her class, they can focus on a specific subject by working with the material from another grade.

Teachers do not turn a blind eye to any bullying, but deal with it in a loving, but firm manner, seeing it as an opportunity to correct and admonish.

My child has attended this school for two years now. So far, I have had only great interactions with the facility, my child is advancing in his education to my liking, and he seems to enjoy going. I was looking for a small, private school with a reasonable tuition. SOTH was exactly what I was looking for, plus more. The classrooms are designed to mimic real life interactions and the children can learn at a pace that isn't forced. I highly recommend this school.

The communication the faculty offers is fantastic. I am always able to get a hold of them if there are questions, and they are always available to talk after school about my child. You can tell they care about the students, not just about a job or paycheck.

As a former parent that sent both of my children here, I can attest to the fantastic education that they received. They both went on to public high school and were tops in their class. While here, they participated in sports with other small schools in the San Diego area and sang in the musical programs that were available. Discipline is not a problem here as you have in larger public schools. Parents are encouraged to participate in the educational process. A great well-rounded education is available.
