Though they claim to be a Christian school, they refuse to follow what the Bible teaches: Love everyone as you would love yourself. Or maybe they just hate themselves... just a thought

You don't allow sinful lifestyles at your school however you allow children of single parent households that may be fornicating. How do you distinguish this policy and why are you isolating this particular situation. You could have had a much better impact on this child by making policies based on love, which is truly what anchors Christianity among other religions. No doubt your action left this child feeling judged, isolated and accountable for a lifestyle that was put upon her. Shame on you.

Judge less you be judged. The golden rule is supposed to be held above others! Treat one another as you would want to be treated!!!! Maybe we as Christians need to practice what you preach!

All sins are equal in God's eyes. Everyone is a sinner, not just someone who is homosexual. If you would kick a child out of school because her parents are "sinners" then you must do that with everyone. No one is free from sin. Outrageously hateful and discriminatory. God loves all his children.

Every since I enrolled my kids in Mt Erie they have thrived academically and morally. This school is bible based which I love because they reinforce my religious principles I teach at home. There curriculum is accelerated so expect lots of homework. My kids always rave about the food at breakfast and lunch which is a plus. I don't have to worry about them starving and not being able to focus in the classroom. Everyone is very helpful and wants to see your kids be successful. All the kids play and know each other and look out for each other. It's really tight knit community that my kids enjoy. My some wants to go stay there til 6th grade.

I am very satisfied with Mt. Erie. Even though they're a small school with a small budget, they really try hard to push the academics and instill technology. What's great is the small student and teacher ratio. My daughter's teacher actually knows my daughter's strengths and weaknesses.

Unless the administration changes and this school evolves into the 21st century, do no send your child here. Being family owned and operated, they feel that they are above what is right and in the best interest of every child. The curriculum is dated and not up to current California standards, and the lack of technology is such a disservice to the students. The only teachers who are supported are those who look the other way and forget about the teacher code of ethics. For any child with a learning disability or any special needs, there are absolutely no resources available for these children. I believe that the owners have the best of intentions, but however, the lack of management and professionalism shown by the administration is slowly but surely running this school into the ground.

My son attends Mt. Erie Christian Academy Preschool and absolutely loves it. I had to move to San Diego suddenly after accepting a job in the area and had to find a preschool for my son, Josiayah, within a week. My father referred me to this preschool and I am very satisfied. Ms. Shonna is great with the kids and the parents. I have found it very easy to communicate with her in regards to my sons personal growth and development. Josiayah is 4 years old and can do way more things than I expected. He can count to 100, do single digit subtraction and addition, has learned sight words, and can write his full name. The year is not over yet and I feel like they are really preparing him for kinder. I wish that we would have moved to the area sooner because he would be so much more advanced. He has only been enrolled since October 2012. You cannot go wrong with this program!
