I feel good sending my kiddos to Antelope Trails where they have teachers who care and excellent support staff. The school has a wonderful community feel to it while also having care taken to meet individual needs.

Antelope Trails Elementary is a hidden gem!!!!

From the moment you walk through the doors at Antelope Trails Elementary, you are greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the school's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. The school has a sweet, small, nostalgic feel to it.

The staff at Antelope trails Elementary are nothing short of remarkable. They are not only highly skilled, but they also go above and beyond by ensuring that every child feels valued, heard, and encouraged to reach their full potential. The teachers and staff have always been approachable and responsive to my family's personal situations or concerns.

As far as academic excellence, Antelope Trails Elementary is top notch. It is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school which provides emphasis and focus on the development of the whole child as inquirer, both in the classroom and world outside. The school also won The James Irwin award in 2023, which is an award given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time. My kids have grown leaps and bounds academically over the years. The school does not require nightly homework so that kids can be kids after school. Teacher's will provide homework if parents desire, but the school values time after school to be well spent with family and doing extracurriculars.

Additional perks are all the extracurricular activities that cater to the student's diverse interests: from chest and science club to art club and sports groups. They also engage families and the community through school dances, fun runs, family breakfast and BBQs, as well as school performances. These activities bring the Antelope Trails community together, making everyone feel like extended family!

I can't say enough good things about this school. My kids have thrived here and we can't imagine going anywhere else!

All school staff are invested in each childÂ’s learning and help them navigate through school in a positive and fun atmosphere. They are all incredible teachers and administrators here. I have three kids that attend here and they have helped support them and helped them all achieve their goals as well as given them opportunities to thrive in their education.

My two sons went to ATE. ATE is the perfect neighborhood school. Teachers are engaged and focused on student learning. Classes are small and the administrators are terrific! My kids were well prepared for the “big” middle school campus down the street and I’m so thankful we found ATE for a wonderful elementary school experience.

Our family has attended this school for 2.5 years, and we have had great experiences with teachers and staff who are seasoned, collaborative and quick to respond to any concerns. The IB curriculum is rich with opportunities to work in small groups and individually. IÂ’ve been impressed with the projects exposing kids to public speaking, building community, and research in earlier grades. Kids are broken out into smaller groups for reading to get more individualized help appropriate to where they are at. The school offers extracurricular clubs with something for everyone; STEAM, Art, Music, Chess, Sports. Tour this school and you will fall in love with the vibe.

Amazing little school with highly qualified veteran teachers. Wonderful school culture- it is clear the staff loves each other and what they do. Staff members are respectful of students and value/teach using personalized learning. My student attends and has a learning disability and has made huge growth AND loves school. Also features an amazing STEAM program and a very talented library staff. Very thankful for this school and the experience my child has had.

My son has attended ATE since kindergarten, now in 4th grade, and we love this school. It was important to us as a family to have a fun school with strong positive leaders. Mrs. Cresap and all of the teachers, staff are wonderful. We drive 20mins to get to school and am happy to make the commute. The emphasis on character and community with the fun events make this elementary school a great place to have your child grow up.

Antelope Trails offers a great IB learning environment. We've been a part of the Antelope Trails family since my son was in preschool. His teachers have all been caring and knowledgeable. The IB attributes are taught throughout the school, from the classroom to the lunchroom, and even on the playground. Discipline issues are dealt with firmly but fairly. Technology is kept up to date, and the students are taught and held to a high standard of digital citizenship. Specials teachers delve into their subjects with enthusiasm and make learning fun for the students. The school offers a talented and gifted program for math and reading. During "normal" years, the school offers extra-curricular activities such as chess club, robotics, and choir.

I wish I would have taken the bad reviews more into consideration before placing my child into this school. This school has terrible communication and I donÂ’t feel has the best interest of the child in mind. They allow part time teachers which is very confusing as a parent. The administration pushes off problems to the teachers. The school is crowded and you can tell when you donÂ’t hear about issues in the classroom until months after the fact.

The homework they do send home is vague with no clear instruction .

We had MAJOR problems with bullying at this school. The Vice Principal took little interest in the situation until it became a legal matter. Luckily this person is moving on!! We also had problems with some IEP issues at the school. I feel even with an IEP some teacher forget and mark poorly on their report cards. I am not overly impressed with this school but feel stuck because this is our neighborhood school and most schools (including this one) are overcrowded and there is nowhere to move my kids. Wish we would have purchased a house elsewhere.

We have been here for 3 years an have had great teachers every year! My daughter learns a lot, loves school, and we feel confident she is being prepared for higher grade levels. The facilities are well maintained and we have experienced good communication from staff.

This is an amazing school that offers great academics and a strong foundation for kids to inspire their love to learn! My son has grown so much form this schools IB program!

Environment at school has turned really bad. Principal Cresap and assistant Principal lies straight to you face. Students are being treated badly. Assistant Principal yells at kids in the lunch room through a bullhorn. Enrollment is down over 200 kids since this Cresap became a principal. Everybody is trying to move kids to other schools.

Worst Elementary school in D20. Staff is awful and test scores way down due to students are being treated poorly.

My kids have been attending this school for many years and I am disappointed in the latest state assessment scores. The school changed the homework format several years ago and when many of the veteran parents heard, we told them it would affect the scores. And we were right. The 3rd graders scored so poorly, that the district has stepped in to tell the school how to make it right. Last years score for 3rd graders Math 87, up from 82. Reading 79 down from 87 and writing 57 down from 64. Though the kids are doing well in math, when they get to Middle school they are confused and completely clueless, because the middle school and high school use a different math program and all the kids have to be retaught their way. The teachers overall are good, though we have one particular upper level grade team that is weak. Communication is average. There could be improvement, especially with new families. The school is not at the level that is used to be at and hopefully they will improve. It will however take many years to do so.

My son started attending Antelope Trails at the age of 3 in the preschool program. He was behind in speech so was given extra attention and care to get him up to speed. He was on an IEP (Individual education plan) for a few years which was monumental in his progress. The teachers and aides are fantastic and were always in communication with me on his progress! Now he is in 4th grade and is testing at grade level in all areas thanks to their early efforts and extra care. They have a "No child left behind" philosophy and it is evident in the principal, teachers, aides and students. I couldn't be happier and I tell everyone I know to go with District 20 and Antelope Trails especially! Now my daughter is attending 1st grade there and like before- they are just amazing with her. Her teacher is great about communicating and my daughter just loves school!
