This school has teachers using AI to teach, giving us incorrect information from bots trained on social media with bias, racist ideologies, etc. The teachers give the kids assignments made by AI without even checking what the ai made, spelling errors, poor grammar, and words with letters randomly jumbled with numbers. They grade assignments with AI, giving kids who did well failing grades and kids who should fail? they pass. Another thing I have been told here as a junior all 3 years I have been here I have been told that if someone hits us and we hit in self defense, we could be expelled and we WILL be charged. direct words from our administration. Our principal can't do basic math, and in front of the entire junior class (11th graders) said "You guys were in elementary school 4 years ago, you know? it goes by fast." 11 - 4 is 7. Middle school. 7th graders. not elementary schoolers. which ends at 5th grade btw. I have been given raw food, moldy food, burnt food. there are rats in the walls. not mice. rats. Teachers have zero care for students mental health, yelling for no reason, giving out assignments without clear instructions and then being aholes when you ask for clarification. "I already told you!?" no u didn't and the fact that all 30 students are confused when we were dead silent during directions is crazy, not on us. they assign crazy amounts of work and wonder why everyone is failing the class. our teachers are incompetent and disrespectful, freshman are babied and get 0 consequences for screaming and being obnoxious instead of civil like you should be by highschool, and the school is NASTY. Every kid in that school has self harm scars all over and all of the kids I have met with them have said it was because of school. Do better. Ai does NOT belong in school.

Would not recommend this school or district. Get your children into a charter school or another district if you want them to be successful socially, emotionally and intellectually.

My kiddo went to Mesa Ridge for 2 years. They were not willing to work with our son. Then, they suggested that he just drop out. If your kid is strugging in any way, even if it's temportary, they will not support you with good faith. Very disappointed! Teachers are unwilling to teach. For example, rather than teaching, the teachers would prefer to embarass anyone that is not excelling. Even if it Spanish. Showing that your child cannot speak the language to be left ashamed in front of peers. Very lazy having students that speak Spanish as their primary language, teach those that are struggling. Now, our son is sad about missing his friends, but they did not care about anything social-related either. Adminstrators and counselors are lazy and unprofessional. Seeming to be able to function, but simply cannot. Lacking charactor, understanding, and respect. RUN!

This school and Widefield District 3 is awful. My son has been going to this school for three years and shares stories of bullying and disrespect to staff and kids. The school guards are a joke and are wannabe police officers. They don’t know what they are doing and allow so much. If you are smart don’t move to this area and go to Fountain instead.

This school forces conformist ideology onto its students.

Terrible school. Teachers do not help (most of them) neither does Administration when you need them. They assign homework after homework without ensuring you actually understand what they are teaching and don't take time out of their day to help you understand it. If you go to the counseling center to talk about these issues, they laugh it off and tell you to come back next semester.

We moved to Fort Carson from an affluent school district in Northern Virginia, my son had completed three years of French as his foreign language and the school he was assigned to attend (a district 8 school) did not offer French which caused us to search for a school close to Fort Carson that did offer French, in which we found Mesa Ridge DID offer French AND many other languages as well. My son transferred in to Mesa Ridge at a 4.1 GPA and had no problems at all with his teachers regularly challenging him to achieve greatness. The sports program at Mesa Ridge is great, the coaches of both the soccer and swim teams are encouraging and supportive. My son loved everything about Mesa Ridge High School and made wonderful friends there quickly. The kids were very welcoming and friendly to my son. Mesa Ridge had a phenomenal Foreign Language program as opposed to the other school in District 8 that only offers 2. The school is updated and very clean and the staff in the front office & guidance offices are always so willing to do anything they can to help assist in any way. I would give this smaller school 5 stars all around. This school wants your child to be a successful student.

I wasn't to excited coming to this school because of the look of the school... But the school isn't too bad. People that do attend MRHS are fair people. Some are cool, some are "fake", some don't take anything serious, like Academics. You get caught up in drama way too much. The teachers here are amazing. But my grades weren't... The sports here are good, gears are pricey, $80+ The people that do tryout a sport think they're better than half the girls/boys that do. I might attend a different school next year, because the selection of people here & my grades are falling apart... But it's a good school.

Mesa Ridge is practicing inefficient operations, that cost taxpayers, many many $$$$$$$ of dollars. The school board doesn't provide adequate oversight, an inconsistent contracting process. Internal audit system and serious security and privacy issues are off concerns!

We moved here at the end of my daughter's freshman year. Her first report card was all failing. She is a child that has struggled some, but never an all failing report card. I immediately started trying to communicate with the school and teachers about it. She took some summer classes to catch up and went on to start her sophmore yr at Mesa. Again, all failing and lots of struggle. I fought a losing battle to get some form of communication with the school. Finally, after arguing with the guidance counselor that my child would not graduate on time without some help, we decided to pull her out. She is now in her new school with awesome grades and amazing staff. The staff at Mesa was huge disappointment. I am so sorry to my child that we didn't pull her out sooner. The school as a whole seems to be a very toxic environment. Everyone is always on edge.. not just hormonal students. I am taking appropriate measures to make sure that my upcoming high schooler does not attend Mesa Ridge. It is an awful school for any student that isn't naturally an excellent student.
