My husband worked here for 21 years. My children both attended. The staff love these kids, work hard to make learning interesting and challenging, and interact with the kids both at school and away. P/T conferences occur in the wild when families see the teachers out and about. The staff are alway accessible to the kids and families -- one of the benefits of living in a smaller community. The opportunities are wide: sports, clubs, extracurriculars, music, art, and many ways to get involved in whatever the child loves to do. We lost grants a few years ago due to an extreme school board, but the new board is working hard to bring them back.

There are some great teachers who will do more for your children than you could ever imagine, those teachers will go above and beyond to help.

Teaching is average at best, but I suppose for the pay it is what you get. Teach your kids how to deal with bullying because there is a decent amount of it here. The school building is very nice and security is present.

WPMS operates on a team structure. Individual attention is given to my children on each of their teams.

We have two children attending WPMS right now. Both are thriving in academics, arts, and the various clubs offered at WPMS. Teachers challenge students and hold them accountable. Perfect school experience for a perfect small town!

If brought to the attention of admin., bullying is dealt with and addressed. As a parent, I am aware that there are always two sides to a story. Teaching my children to deal with daily conflict and know how to advocate for themselves is taught at home and at this school.

Too many programs and clubs at this school to list here. Forensics, mountain bike club, writer's club, sports are just a few my kids have gotten into. My children have had their individual learning needs (one is on an ALP) met as well.

If my child is efficient with their time in class they will be able to complete most "homework" assignments during the week in their homeroom class. Teachers provide weekly emails and online access to assignments to keep us up to date at home.

New Principal and Asst. Principal this year. Great to work with.

Learn more about WPMS's ROAR. Character development is stressed at this school.

The staff bullies the students and the students act like they're better than everyone just because they're rich. The counselors are always sticking their noses into the students business and forces them to do things they don't want to. More students are becoming depressed because of the staff. A lot of students want to either be homeschooled or switch to a different school. I'm honestly surprised this school hasn't gotten shut down yet or fired anyone.

The teachers bully the students. They care more about a student wearing sweatpants than bullying.

The only leadership at this school is the teachers pushing the students around rudely.

Posted: January 19, 2017

Whenever a student wants to be themselves, the staff shuts that idea down very quickly.

They bully the students and care more about sweatpants than the bullying going on.

The girls basketball program is horrible. The coaches don't know anything about basketball and these girls are suffering. Everyone knows the coaches are terrible and nobody cares enough about the kids to do anything about it. I feel sorry for the athletes. It's a crying shame that no one is willing to do the right thing for these girls. The only thing I can think is that it's small-town politics. I've lived here for 15 years and it's just heartbreaking to watch the coaches being chosen over the students. Aren't the students what the staff is there for?
