No bullies just barked at and so many Furries all over always barking and crawling on fours. My student goes to this school and they are never comfortable while being there. I hope this gets fixed thank you. (Friend of student)

Our children have loved their time at Timberview! I judge schools on more than test scores because our children are at school longer than they are at home with us. The teachers and support staff have been nothing but supportive and kind and were there for my children during some stressful moments. I may not judge a school by its test scores but my children have excelled and I believe are out of the funk many have been in since COVID. I feel this is due to the patience and hard work of the amazing teachers at Timberview. My kids have also enjoyed the fun activites such as the school dance, movie night and the wide variety of clubs for the students.

I cannot express enough how much I love Timberview Middle School in Colorado Springs! As a parent with an 8th grade student whos been at TMS since starting middle school, my experience here has been nothing short of amazing, and I am excited to share my thoughts.

-Outstanding Staff and Administration
The staff and administration at TMS are truly exceptional. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their subjects, making learning engaging and enjoyable. The administration is approachable and always willing to address any concerns. Ive had two issues in the three years my daughter has been a student, both times I felt heard, and action was taken immediately to remedy the situation.

-Safety
Safety is a top priority at Timberview, and it shows. The school has had rigorous safety measures, ensuring that students feel secure and has given me peace of mind. If theres ever an event even remotely related to Timberview, I receive an email about whats going on and their plan to remedy it. Their security guard Mr. C, is amazing. From my conversations with my daughter and her friends, hes extremely respected and loved by the students. Having students feel comfortable with security is import when we put so much emphasis on see something, say something. He also has a presence about him that will make anyone with ill intentions second guess targeting TMS.

-Diverse After-School Activities
Timberview Middle School provides a wide array of after-school activities. Whether it's sports, arts, academic clubs, or non-academic clubs, there is something for everyone. My daughter has really enjoyed soccer, volleyball, rock band and cheerleading. TMS is the first and only (as of this writing) district 20 middle school to have a Cheer team.

-Active Parent-Teacher Org.
The PTO at Timberview is outstanding (biased opinion being involved myself). Involvement from parents in school activities is encouraged and celebrated by staff and administration.

-Impressive Building
The school building itself is well-maintained and the classrooms are conducive to learning, and common areas are vibrant and welcoming. Cleanliness is also very impressive. Im always shocked to see how clean they get the lunchroom specifically!

I feel fortunate to be a part of the Timberview community as a parent and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional experience. My only issue is they only get three years in this wonderful place!

My son wanted to switch middle schools and this is the one he chose. It's been a very positive experience. My 7th grader has improved in all of his subjects, especially math. He has made friends and likes his teachers. The teachers have high expectations and are fair. Overall, his happiness has increased.

This school enable bullies and nothing to stop it, students are not held responsible for their actions, if there is no proof on the cameras, they don't have them in the places that bullies happen to be bullies. The victim of bullies are not taken seriously the investigation process is a joke and nothing is ever done. It impacts the learning and safety of the student that is being bullied, let do better and actual teach the students that actions of consequences

Amazing staff! Kids feel safe and heard. Curriculum is interactive. Community events, parent involvement is encouraged. They really do their best to make the awkward middle school years comfortable and inclusive for all kids. I cannot say enough about this middle school.

I have had two children attend this school and we have experienced all grades. Counseling leaves a lot to be desired and most messages are not returned at all, much less in a timely manner. Discussions with assistant principal and principal led nowhere. We moved to this district because of these schools and the neighborhood has increased exponentially. The superintendent could not answer why this school is now 300+ kids over capacity. Kids are not allowed backpacks until 8th grade, have to double up in lockers, and are often stuck in trailers because of overcrowding. Two teachers in particular would not allow my kids to ask questions (I have honor students) during or after class (basically if you miss info, you miss it). Kids in 6th and 7th are treated like babies during lunch and not given the chance to act responsibly and develop good character on their own. There are a few really great teachers but turnover is high. Really upset and disappointed.

Love Love! My child requires extra help, and he always gets it. He loves his teachers. One thing that parents will sometimes complain about is that kids are placed in a cycle of specials classes fro 6th and 7th. My son is living proof that the school knows what they're doing. He freaked out to discover he had to take drama. Not only is it NOW his favorite class, he thinks he may want to pursue more. Really? We are so impressed with everything from the staff, cleanliness, safety, etc... even lunch. LOve this place.

All the students are very welcoming, and are surprisingly nice! The teachers (especially on Pack 743, 841, and 843) are all wonderful! NOTE: This school breaks each grade into 3 "packs" (depending on where you place in different classes and whether or not you're in AVID will determine which pack you're on) each pack has the same math, social studies, language arts, and science teacher, which helps teachers schedule tests and quizzes so that no one has more than 2 tests on the same day, and it also helps with planning curriculum to make sure you learn everything. The electives (exploratory classes) are all great, and all the teachers that I had (particularly the art teachers: Mrs. Pucci and Mrs. Klopfenstein) are really funny and understanding. The principal, Mr. Smith, is hilarious and helpful, and so are the counselors. I honestly wish I could have went longer, and I was actually really sad when school let out for the summer. It's definitely a school that you'll miss when you leave.

I went to Timberview for all three years and it was very influential. The teachers really cared about excelling, there were no limits, if a student had was so advanced that they could be three grade levels ahead in math, it was possible to do. If a student was struggling, teachers were always there to help. In my experience, even teachers who weren't my teachers were eager to help. There are a wide range of "exploratories" to choose from and band is popular. Band is so much fun as is choir, art, PE, drama and the other extracurriculars. There is no better school even in the district that has the same community as TMS.

This school is awful! While there are some great teachers there, the administration ruins everything. If your children do well and you don't have problems consider yourself lucky and give more credit where it's due....your child!!! They have so many principals on payroll they can't afford special ed services. Even teachers are unhappy there. I would not recomend them even though lots of people are happy there. No one advocates for your child there. They get out of everything they can with no respect for the education laws.
