WARNING!!! As of May 2024, my husband and I pulled our one year old out of this school for a teacher being too aggressive (physically) with the children (Small children, nonetheless) and when brought to the attention of the Director and the owners of the school, not only did they not formally document on this teacher (Mary), they did not tell the other parents of the children involved, but also nothing was ever done about the situation. I, (mom), personally witnessed her being aggressive with children (not even my own) and further requested for this person to NOT be around my child and to either discipline or get rid of her and nothing was ever done. This teacher still works there as of today (June 2024) and the environment is unsafe, especially for infants whom cannot speak for themselves. Furthermore, the Director and owners did not take the complaint seriously and completely dismissed the issue. This school has been reported to the state.

I would rate my experience as positive. There are teaching staff which do have respect for our previous director. There are parents who also have respect for our previous director. The owner is a kind, capable individual. And within our policy it states references are not given. The administrative assistant is very professional and kind to others. It is great to see that administration strives hard toward effectively promoting a positive learning environment for the children and an environment which would allow their staff to succeed at doing so. The praise I have heard from parents regarding this school has allowed me to see firsthand what effective management can accomplish. I am a positive employee because I recognize that people make mistakes and I allow myself to evaluate everything as a whole. Which has led me to see the professionalism presented by the whole front office staff.

This school has went down hill since the new director took over in May. The entire teaching staff has no respect for this woman and neither does any of the parents. We are close with the parents and many of them have spoken up and still do on a daily basis from what I hear. The owner of the building refuses to take the teachers side and because of that almost everyone has quit and there is a huge turnover. No one who has quit has had the nerve to say what they want and exactly why they quit for fear of getting bad references in the future because that is what type of people run the front. The administrative assistant in awful and should not be allowed in that position. The owner is very close to losing her best staff that is left there and I know for sure that if a couple of them leave many, many parents will follow because of the trusted relationships built with these teachers and the teachers is the ONLY reason why a huge group of parents are still there. I hope that things change for the sake of the rest of the teachers still there and for the sake of the parents and more importantly the kids. Let me be clear when I say I am not a bitter employee writing a review. I left on my own to do something better but the director was the deciding factor in my leaving. This is the truth and if you want to choose Primrose as a school for your child, rest assured that the teachers are amazing but you will never get the truth, the respect, or the friendliness you deserve because of the entire front office staff. Although the assistant director has gotten much better than she use to she still has a lot of people skills to work on. I am trying to write this as professionally as I can to help future parents to make a decision. Again if you want the best teaching experience by all means go here. If you care more about how the building is run then this isn't the place for you.

The teachers are amazing, this is the best thing about Primrose.

This is the reason why I left and many others have also in the last 9 months. The new "Director" is the worst manager any of us have ever had.

There is no bullying except from the director to her teachers. She is insanely rude to them and disrespects them in front of parents and other employees.

The Primrose School of Briargate is under new ownership by Christine and Rodney Dell. They are working closely with the awesome staff and parents at the school to ensure that the Primrose Promise is delivered through strong curriculum and character development. We would love to hear from you, show you the school and answer any questions you have!
We also want to thank the parents for bringing their concerns to the table. Please know that we are working with the team to ensure that parents know which classrooms children are in if there is any movement.

It saddens me to have to write this review, but at the same time I think I need to be heard. I have had more than one child attend this school. This school used to be a place of fun, learning and laughter. Now the classrooms are filled with frustration and disappointment. Children are constantly being shuffled around with half of their things in one room and the other half in a different one. I never know from day to day where my child will be and who is caring for them? Some show daily reports, other don't. The staff seem to not care anymore, sitting in a corner or on the playground totally disengaged from the children. When I have brought concerns to the management team, i only get excuses....we are working on it, they are young and unexperienced, etc. Your jobs are to ensure the safety and well being of our children. I'm sorry to say, Lately I don't see that!! I hope that The Primrose School of Briargate can turn themselves around.

I have not had any experiences with this matter.

My child has been in this school for many years and I have been happy with most of the teachers we have come across. Big thumbs up to Ashley, Christie, and Erika. My child was in both of these teachers rooms and Every time I saw them they worked together nicely and there was a great feeling of teamwork in those two preschool rooms. I know from experience that Ashley and Christie are very kind hearted loving teachers as my child was in both of their classes back to back. Erika was new at the time but you could tell how much she cared as well. I write specifically on these teachers because they were in the preschool rooms leading the rooms and a negative comment was written about the preschool rooms in another review and it's not accurate information at all. I think they must have been talking about the next room up. These two girls leading both of the preschool rooms would never allow for that type of thing to happen and they both taught my child a lot. The older of the preschool rooms also taught my child to start writing their name and letters and numbers.

My child has learned a lot from being in this school and always tells me that the teachers want them to make good choices and love their friends.

New owners seem to be getting the school back in a place of business instead of a place of chaos from the previous owners.

This is a daycare not a school.. no homework

I wanted to write this review because I saw one stating that the preschool room was a joke and there were a bunch of teenagers in there not paying attention to the kids and that is absurd. At one point I will agree that the teachers that now have left and are no longer there seemed to be there for a job and not for the children. If you are lucky enough to get a spot at Primrose in the preschool room I would do it. Now that those teachers are gone and Ashley, Christie are in there its so nice. My child is no longer in that room because of moving up and I do wish we still had those same teachers however we are still happy with the progress and I'd also like to disagree with a previous post saying that the pre k room is awful. IT's not the same kind of love and nurturing they received before but for someone to be so bold with their statements to say the other teachers. I think is pretty rude. All in all I wanted to make sure that the school where my child has spent most of her time at is recognized for being a great place for others to take their children.

As a parent with 2 children enrolled at Primrose for the past 3 years, I have been very happy with the teachers and staff. I have seen my children grow and excel academically and have been impressed with the character development in them.

I wouldn't waste your time visitating or enrolling your child in this school if you intend it for preschool..its a daycare, that's it. My child loved the toddler room and each change from then on got worse. 3s room had teenagers that bickered amongst themselves and ignored children. High turnover rate for "teachers". The preschool room is a joke. Why wear a uniform if they aren't actually in a classroom type setting? My child learned nothing except how to color. Waste of time and .obey for my child. I'm sorry we kept giving them chances and didn't want to change my childs routine too much. I regret not pulling my child earlier.

Always talking amongst themselves, playing I their phones or iPads/computers meant for kids. I ha e never seen an education encounter other than reading a book to them.

I expressed my concerns for my child not gaining in her preschool learning and was brushed off. I spoke to director about a teacher's negative tone to children and was told, "she's just like that". Unacceptable.

My daughter has been attending Primrose for the last three years. She started out at 3 months old in the infant room and has moved up through 6 different rooms now to the Preschool 2 classroom. My wife and I are both extremely happy with the care and education that she receives at Primrose. Her vocabulary is very high for her age because of the great curriculum and we always enjoy discussing what she learned in school that day. I also feel that the staff is excellent. She has had many different teachers as she has grown from room to room and all of them have been genuinely caring. She has learned to "make good choices" at school from her teachers and I feel that she is disciplined appropriately when necessary. The management at Primrose is also exceptionally good and I cannot say enough nice things about Miss Sherry who owns and runs the school. Sending my daughter to day care was not an easy decision for us but we could not be happier that we made the choice to send her to Primrose!

Best place to send your kids in Colorado springs!! Love the management. Teachers have years of work there. My kids love telling me about their day!

I have an infant attending Primrose of Briargate and I absolutely love this facility. The staff knows my husband and I every time we walk in -- we are greeted in the morning and afternoon. They make sure I'm aware of what my daughter does during the day, how she behaves, and how she felt during the day. I know exactly when she eats, when she's changed, and when she sleeps. Since going back to work after maternity leave, I feel much more comfortable leaving my child here than anywhere else. They put my mind at ease, and seeing the teachers interact with my daughter makes it that much better. My daughter smiles every day when I drop her off, and that makes me so happy. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for care for their young child.

Staff are unprofessional and does not seem to have educational background to teach children. Often times, staff does not have continuity to relay information to parents and how child do/does. In addition, ratio seems to be a constant issue, as well as, staying up to code with the sate. It is sad...school is suppose to be rated top notch, according, to a the slogan asks, a mom. However, does not perform.
