Keller strives to meet the needs of all students! Bullying is not tolerated by anyone if reported it will be investigated and addressed appropriately!
The principal at Keller, Stacy Brisben, takes an active roll, not only with discipline, but in educating, she often takes groups of children to teach a lesson to (especially math, Id say math is her speciality). She also finds ways to recognize those that need it the most! Keller also has some wonderful specials teachers, especially our PE and music teachers, they go above and beyond, to include everyone, even the most severe needs special education students. grade levels work together as teams to plan and find what works best, often going between grade levels for suggestions and inspiration! You wont find a better educational assist. team for the special education students, they are all very well trained and have worked with a variety of significant needs students, helping them achieve their personal growth potential, all while making them feel safe and loved. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is this review speaks to the majority of staff and students unfortunately, Keller is not perfect, while they are always working to improve, there is unfortunately some staff and students that do not live up to their potential. I think I would be hard pressed to find a school that this was not the case.
COVID, has been especially challenging to everyone, While I think Keller did a pretty good job with the challenges faced, it does make it hard to answer some of the following questions reliably. So please take that into consideration!
