This school does not teach children the fundamentals of responsibility, and do not lead by any example besides a bad one. There has been a garden that has been tended to, by 2 people for 2 years, and they have yet to give a helping hand. They gladly take what we've grown with our heart and passion, but never volunteer to help out. We have been tending to 24 beds in hopes that the school would help. This frustration comes from the lack of ANY help from the teachers. "Oh it's great what you're doing. We'll be out." It's been 2 years now. Now we can't tend to the garden as life has a different plan, and they are not taking the fact that now over 40 beds of food may rot and die, because of their carelessness.

Teachers that's don't teach children how to live, and show children a path of purpose are useless.

As a former student here, I can say I am confounded why this school even had a environment it did when I was attending, fights constantly and when the new principal came into power he immediately had bans on social media during lunch time, which is a remotely nonsensical violation of free speech even if this had changed in the time I was gone away from it... I must warn people DO NOT allow its allure to fool you... I got bullied constantly and had to be my own way and humorous to survive in such a toxic environment...

All of my children have attended this school over the past 13 years, and unfortunately, the quality has steadily declined. Our first experience was with our son who has Down syndrome. The special education program failed to meet his needs, and we were ultimately forced to move him to a different school.

Our second son also faced challenges. One of his teachers marked him down unfairly, seemingly because she didn’t fully understand the course material herself. We had to step in and help him prove that his sources were credible—scholarly and directly from the assigned history textbook.

Now, our daughter is currently attending, and the situation is even more troubling. Bullying, physical assaults, and drug use are ongoing issues, and the staff response ranges from indifferent to completely ineffective—especially when it comes to student safety. I've had to spend countless hours re-teaching material to my daughter because some teachers are unable to clearly explain their lessons.

To make matters worse, the school frequently calls claiming our daughter is not in class, despite her GPS location confirming otherwise—and she verifies she is indeed there. It’s alarming that the staff often doesn’t even know which students are present in their classrooms.

I am a current student that goes to galileo and it is not fun I get bullied all the time and there is a lot of physical fighting my friends keep getting accused of doing stuff they don't do, and school dances are a wreck and I do not recommend going to the school dance. I do recommend doing a club or doing band or choir those are my 2 favorite choosable classes they also have avid, there are 2 different classes someone could be in for avid, avid elective and avid discovery avid elective is nice cause they have these things called tutorials where people from collage tutor us and we have to fill out TRF papers and TRF is short for the tutorial request form and that is only for an avid elective class. avid discovery is where you read a book but I really don't know much about it cause I'm in elective I have advanced language arts and advanced math and advanced band which is all very nice cause you feel like school matters when you actually try and back to the physical fighting thing people get hurt and one of my friends got hit by one of my bullies by a computer and got put in the hospital and knocked out her tooth if possible I do NOT recommend going to this school if possible but they do have great front office staff and most of the teachers are strict but nice and also there is a lot of people who use me for my smartness and tons of people which I can't say their names hurt me a lot and make me super sad and when I'm around them I don't feel that safe so I always ask to move away but other than the huge amount of bullying it is good

I feel like the teachers aren't really doing much for these students, especially with this computer learning system. I have a child in 6th grade who is at a 3rd grade reading level. The teachers do not reach out of there is a problem with work not being done and there are issues with the work being shown as turned in when in fact I have seen it submitted by my child.

Overall this school isn’t bad, but it’s not as diverse and a lot of students are just not good students. The teachers are fine but some of them really need to get the class under control instead of doing nothing

So I was a student here at Galileo for one year, and we all know 7th grade is one of our worse years, right? Well this school didn't prove me wrong. The teachers are very, very nice! (Most the time) but I found out that other schools were way ahead of us in all subjects. Which made me kinda feel iffy about their teaching tactics... I also got bullied, and for weeks I felt like I was going to get jumped due to a past event that involved me almost getting beat up before. I had a few friends in my own grade, but I liked to hangout with the 8th graders because I felt protected. I had a fear of my own peers. I think the school does all they can for bullying because it does happen a lot in physical form (fighting)
I can say that the elective classes are pretty cool though, and the after school clubs like drama, track, basketball, yearbook club, anything you could think of. Other than the kids, and slow teaching, I feel like this is an okay school if you have friends, because people will pick you apart. And the teachers for the most part are actually really fun, but get the work done

They are giving my son with a disability referrals without notifying me; I found this by requesting his educational record. I had to order it twice as it was and still is incomplete. Both times other children's information was given to me by mistake. Staff has said to my face that they will not protect my son from bullies because his behavior is so bad that they only tolerate him. The staff bullies me for advocating for my child. I finally pulled him when they said that it was an accident when a child chased my son down the hall and poked him in the eye with a pencil. My son says this was on purpose but they don't believe him. DO NOT SEND ANY CHILD HERE, IT IS JUST NOT SAFE AND THE STAFF DOES NOT CARE.

The first two years my kid when to school there they liked to "experiment" with different teaching methods. All boys in one class all girls in another class. The year following was the laptop experiment to where the kids carry around a big laptop all day. My kid isn't a test subject! I'm not overly crazy that the teachers allow the students to retake tests until they score better on them or give the same credit to kids that turn in assignments late to those that do the work on time. This school is too busy trying to be cool and not a school. The school may have changed it's name (use to be East middle school) but it's still the same poor quality it use to have. Test scores prove it. Very disappointed.
