The direct instruction teaching model has provided a strong educational foundation for our child, and we appreciate the clear, structured approach that helps students build confidence and master new concepts. We also deeply appreciate the daily lesson on character development. The values and virtues taught each day reinforce important life lessons, helping students grow into respectful and responsible individuals.
We admire the school's leadership. The administrators care about the students, the staff, and culture. I'm excited about the new assistant principal that was recently hired. She is great and has a ton of experience.

The teachers literally teach from scripts. Most are unlicensed. If you're considering sending your kid to this school, seriously ask them how many of their teachers even hold a teaching license!

I love how structured Canada drive is. As an assistant teacher I am excited to return and work in first grade again. The students are very focused on their academics and doing well in school. It is very hard to find schools like that.

I had issues with the principle and staff at this James Irwin 2525 Canada Drive not wanting to provide incident and safety reports. Multiple staff members left this year and the class size was 30+ in 4th Grade and 25+ in 2nd grade. With the Howard Elementary Campus going under renovation next year and those students being bused to the Canada Drive Location I do not recommend this School. The first year that my kids went here it was better but this last year it has went downhill considerably. the academic program is very regimented. they have no gym and the kids "play in the parking lot" for gym. The playground is terrible. the kids constantly complained about the food and not getting enough to eat at school.
