The kindergarten teacher Ms. Bannon is so awesome with the kids. My daughter enjoyed going to school and learning. She is very patient with the kids, and I see how much the kids love being in her class. All the staff was so great to my daughter. This school is so secure with safety, I love that I know that my daughter is safe at this school.

We were new to the school last year. Even with Covid we felt connected to our kids while at school. We really love Mesa.

I had 5 children in this school at one point, I've seen different teachers and principals. Overall, I think this school did an excellent job educating, challenging and protecting my children. I highly recommend it!

Most grades were given adequate amounts of homework, where as others give out an insane amount daily, which was frustrating for my children who had been in school all day already.

I've had 5 kids go through this school and have had 8 different teachers, every single one of them were amazing, loved their students and challenged them!

Overalls the school can be good and bad. It is good because the school taught my daughter a lot of stuff to the point where she excelled in everything she did. The only thing that is bad here is that if first graders bully each other they say oh it's just first graders being first graders. I do not believe this and because my daughter had gotten hit by another first grader with a hard plastic toy. Lip was slightly swollen and no incident report was written even after my husband and I demanded one. All we got was an email from the math club teacher stating that the woman that picked up my daughter was informed. This teacher didn't even know that who she was releasing my daughter 2. Luckily it was me and not some stranger or whatever that could have kidnapped her. Attempted to speak to her teacher, the principal and their school counselor. The school counselor had the nerve to tell Jessica that her feelings of being bullied by another student was wrong and that it was just the student and being a student. Last time I checked it is not wrong to have feelings and emotions that you have and to tell a child that her feelings and emotions are wrong period that is just wrong. The principal also stated it as well. Luckily the next school year there will be a new principal. Hopefully this new principal will change everything that happens in the school. But I will not wait to see it happen I will not let these people let my daughter be bullied anymore I am done.

They are not effective here because due to do not enforce the who is on the pick up list not at all.

My daughter had an IEP for speech. Her being told by the principal to speak clearly and louder was incredibly frustrating. I found out later in the year that the specialist who should be seeing her were slacking (this came directly from the teacher who was equally frustrated). Then, it was assumed because my daughter has a natural tan that she has a speech problem because she learned Spanish first in the household. My husband is Native American. We have had to use private care to help her speech at this point. With all those factors involved, it has stopped the improvement we use to see from the preschool.

My daughter having her hair pulled on a regular basis and my husband witnessing bullying on the playground more than once was very disheartening. With the lack of staff on the grounds before school starts, there really isn't any supervision on interactions with the students.

The teacher in K5 we had a pleasure working with was amazing. She is the only positive experience from this school.

Our K5 child was asked to read 30 minutes a night on top of the homework that already took forever. What was worse that it was so repetitive for her that she complained everyday that she was so bored. It seemed like more busy work than productive after she had been busy all day at school.

If I could give this school negative stars, I would. Second day of school, the principal demands why my daughter won't speak up and speak clearly. My daughter has an IEP for speech and in Kindergarten. A majority of the doctor's notes were not excused. The administrative staffed questioned about our daughter's continual sickness. I contacted the district after having every test ran on my daughter in fear something was wrong and it turns out that many kids were sick in the school constantly (our daughter was out an average of one week a month). The district addressed the school immediately that they should not be telling me or any other parent that we HAVE to bring our child into school with a fever how often they have been out. Yes, they really did tell me one time that they would not excuse her doctor's notes anymore and she HAD to come to school with her 102 fever. After the district swiftly took care of this, I was called into the school that afternoon. The staff wanted to discuss that I must have been mistaken by what was said. Before they could continue reprimanding me, I reminded them that this meeting could be considered retaliation. The meeting came to a close quickly. In the upcoming weeks, our daughter was asking to learn Spanish. Turns out she was told multiple times that they assumed our child was suffering from a speech delay due to learning Spanish first as a language. My husband is Native American. We have never spoken Spanish in the household. So my daughter is now confused about what language she should be speaking. And finally, the lunch issue. We have been told twice already we would be notified if her lunch money reaches a negative and even if it does, there will be no special treatment. Our daughter came home asking why she was so different. She had been receiving sack lunches with the bare minimum of food because she had no lunch money for the past two weeks! I dropped off lunch money at the office and they failed to turn it in. I asked why I wasn't notified and my husband went down to the school to find out what exactly happened since our daughter was in tears being "different" and bottling it up for so long. They had no solution or response. They didn't even deny they failed to notify us like they should. Needless to say, we are homeschooling next year. What's sad is that I only listed the BIG issues.

The teacher blatantly lied to my wife's face. She also was shaming students. My daughter would come home saying she is stupid.

The principle was rude and there was no teacher parent communication. When I asked about active shooter or emergency drills we were told to not worry about it. The teacher used shaming to punish children.

My daughter knew how to read and do some math before she started at Mesa. She regressed because the teacher would embarrass her when she wasn't as developed as other kids at reading.

Mesa has been a huge part of my kids'lives! The teachers truly care about them and they have helped my kids through the toughest times in their lives.....i love this school!

Mesa is progressive and innovative with teaching methods but most of all, caring and personal with the students. Teachers and administrative staff are second to none.

Both of my boys attended Mesa. My oldest attended preschool and kindergarten here and my youngest was in preschool before we had to move due to the military. The preschool teacher is amazing, she gave the boys an unbelievably good foundation to begin learning. She truly cared about each kid. Our all day kindergarten teacher was also outstanding. She is a great teacher and very energetic. She teaches kindergarten in a fun way and my son responded really well to her. These are two teachers who are doing this for the right reason. The principal and assistant principal are always in the hallways and are active in the education, we had great interactions from the office staff to the speech teacher. When I had concerns they were immediately addressed above and beyond what I expected. If you are military then Mesa is the right school for you, they work well with military kids.

Both my children have attended Mesa and I can't say enough good things about this school. The principal, vice principal, and the rest of the school staff are absolutely amazing. They are very welcoming to new comers and they go above and beyond to cater to those with special needs. An amazing school!

My children went to pre-k here and I cannot say enough good things about the teachers. We moved away and now they are in a different school district and we are so sad. We miss our old school. The pre-k staff was the best and our kids learned so much.
