I was a student at this school for my first 3 years of High School. The sisters are genuinely concerned for each student and provide amazing educational opportunities for the girls. Students from all over the world come here and it gives unique opportunities for girls to learn of other cultures, nationalities and perspectives. The educational environment is so much calmer than public school settings with boys and the built-in angst over having the "right clothes" because the students wear uniforms. The smaller class sizes make it far easier to get one-on-one help from the teachers. Students with learning challenges and other disabilities are afforded plentiful opportunities for accommodations and support from everyone in the school, along with the help they need to succeed and go on to colleges and universities all over the country. The girl's safety is ALWAYS in mind for the teachers and staff - It is an educational "gold mine" that needs to be shared with everyone!

This school is a facade and people are afraid to admit it or don't see it. I am a former student here. This school targets students who do not fit their specific stereotype of a shy girl that mostly keeps to themselves and "stays out of trouble." A few students in particular are very unhealthy individuals and encourage others to partake in unhealthy behavior. When called out (which is rare) that specific handful of students come up with a "sob story" which the sisters and staff believe. There are few consequences for the troubled students which have caused my peers to suffer. I watched it with my own eyes. The sisters let a lot of things slide for certain students yet target other students for smaller, less noticeable things. Me (and my friend group) agree that the school is clearly covering up a lot of things. I am beyond exhausted of watching my friends getting in trouble for small things constantly. It is manipulative, condescending, and beyond unfair.

Some of the sisters are absolutely incredible women and I applaud them. Yet the sisters that aren't, impact the students heavily. I wish they would respect the dignity of each and every young woman that attends this school and treat each student with equality and fairness, regardless of their color, religion, background, and sexual orientation.

My daughter transferred to AHF from public school. She was afforded to reach her potential in a structured, well run , diversified setting . While at AHF my daughter became National Hispanic Merit Scholar and a 33 on her ACT and 1430 on SAT. AHF offers tremendous support with college entrance exams and applications as well as Scholarships . We had a wonderful experience with AHF.

The Academy of the Holy Family in Baltic Connecticut is providing an outstanding environment for my daughter to achieve success both academically and spiritually. She is in a supportive environment, and is also challenged to succeed so as to reach her potential. The school has offered her an educational experience on par with other top boarding schools, and I recommend the school highly .
