Honestly, as a current student at this school, I’m disgusted with the conditions here. It’s basically a health hazard considering the bathrooms are rarely cleaned. They are missing mirrors, the floors are filthy, the sinks are broken, and the toilets barely even flush. Even worse, basic necessities like toilet paper and pads aren’t restocked for days at a time, leaving students completely stranded. The classrooms are neglected the exact same way. They literally aren't cleaned for months, and you can see filth building up under the desks. On top of that, there is a literal roach problem every single year. There’s a super low number of janitors, so it’s obvious the current cleaning crew just can’t keep up with the whole building. Instead of hiring more help, the school only focuses on cleaning the specific areas that visitors actually see because they are obsessed with their reputation. Dealing with the building is bad enough, but the classroom environment makes it way worse. Teachers have major favoritism, and if you aren’t a teacher's pet, it’s just exhausting to deal with. It is so hard to focus on getting an education when basic hygiene is being totally ignored and teachers are completely biased.Personally, I’ve had a horrible experience at this school so far and I won’t miss this place for a second. I absolutely do not recommend coming here because it is not safe and it is not healthy. Don't let their online presence fool you the school's social media is not what it seems at all. Prospective families and students deserve to know the truth before coming here. The administration needs to actually care, hire enough janitors, and fix this immediately.

As a student at this school who has always followed the rules. This school is horrendous. Dr. K had this school running so well but Principal Williams could care less about us students and as he says in every assembly he has with us “our reputation..” it’s all he cares about is the school’s reputation. With the amount of threats our school gets and emergency’s that happen individually with students have a full no cell phone policy is unsafe. I understand the need to focus us on our studies however this is not the way to do it by putting us in danger. We shouldn’t have to individually get little notes or passes on our IEP’s that say we can use our phones as certain times. Bring back the traffic light for the phones where the teacher decided. Not only that, don’t get me started on smart pass. We are only allowed 5 passes a day and 5 minutes to go to the bathroom. 5 minutes is beyond unreasonable especially for the us girls on our periods. A specific amount of minutes we can use too?? Absolutely insane. This school has become a prison. I’m surprised we don’t have escorts to the bathroom or other places either. They should focus more on the broken walls, sinks, ceilings, doors, mirrors, etc. They should also focus more on the roaches and mice. This is a nice school from the outside and on social media but social media only shows you what you want to see. Highly don’t recommend. Had this not been my senior year I would’ve switched out of this school and gone to lake forest. Good luck to my underclassmen and parents don’t send your kids here. I’ve been interrogated numerous times this year already (it’s only been 2 weeks) because I spent longer than 5 minutes in the bathroom and some of the bathrooms get locked or take a minute to get to. This school has become such a prison since Principal Williams came.

My overall experience with this school amongst other schools in the area has been horrible from the beginning. Had I known that my daughters would have each received horrible experiences in not only dealing with the students in their schools, but with teachers/faculty as well, I would have enrolled them in a different school system all together. I have too many instances to type on here. But, I will tell you this, you will become very disappointed in this school district and the everyday shenanigans that go on through out these schools that the teachers and faculty allow other students to get away with will forever leave an impression on your child. This is by far the worst school district that I have enrolled my children in and I can assure you that being a military family, my children have attended many different schools.

It has been pretty good but they could fix how they handle bullying and things such as that and how they handle student petition

I graduated from Positive Outcomes Charter School, but looking back in retrospect, I should have graduated from CR! As a former student from CR High, I have to say that the CR High offered me comprehensive education, as well as rigorous discipline. It was a great experience! I am an Aspergers person, but the special ed team of CR High, particularly Ms. Bontrager-Thomas, were very helpful and sensible. They never talked down at me, or anything. In retrospect, they are one of the most inspiring people I remember from my school life!

My child has attended CRHS for 4 years, and overall, it's not a bad High School. There are certainly some problems, however overall, its a good school. Lots of sports/arts/activity programs and the teachers are willing to work with you if you reach out to them. (they NEVER seem to call first) Obviously high school is tough for anyone, and no-one will ever be totally happy, however most incidents are small. Overall, I would send my child back to CRHS. Other local High Schools are comparable (based on interaction with other local youth)...so feel free to 'shop around,' but don't discount this school.
