Amazing School! This school is one of the best schools I've ever attended in my life. As a current student, you get along with students better, teachers encourage teamwork, and most importantly, no fights. The staff are extremely polite, they provide support whenever you struggle, and they even prevent fights before it starts. Teachers make classes engaging, students are actively working, and you even get to join clubs! Teachers even give you all the time you need to work on assignments, and even make it easier if you struggle. There is a higher chance of graduating in high school if you attend this high school. Even thought this school is positive, the only complaint I have is for the principal, he speaks in a pretty rude manner, but I don't really mind. If you have a kid or are an incoming freshman, I strongly recommend you to attend this school. It is clean, disciplined and positive.

As of the time of writing this review, out of the 4 reviews written there are two salty 1-star reviews that do not do this school justice. One commentor is mad they can't bring their own tablet to school and the other seems to have more to the story than just the side presented regarding mental illness and bullying. If you look at the scores of all the categories on this site, you can see this school is exceeding the national average in every category. I am thankful my child goes to this school and hopeful the future score will more accurately reflect the quality of the school.

Students that have any type of mental illness and need some type of accommodations to succeed are told to do it their way or drop out.

When I experienced bullying they didn't do anything and just told me to "get over it".

This school overall is just terrible. Teachers/principals/guidance counselors only care about money. I would give this school negative stars if I could.

I never did any homework after junior year. I will admit it. I feel as though either homework just isn't weighted enough or it is given too much weight and is over assigned.

Every teacher here cares about every student. So long as you pay attention you will learn.

The only integrity this school has taught me is academic integrity. I do not believe that they instill any sort of values unless you happen to join AFJROTC.

Leadership at this school is probably the weakest aspect of this school. Leadership will always say they care about the students, but they really can't relate at all to students. Once I had my phone stolen and I was simply told that it was my fault and I should have looked after it better. Long story short I had to call the cops to get it back. They're just so out of touch touch with the students

One of the biggest parts of Middletown high is the best buddies program. People with learning differences are respected and treated like they're normal.

I would say this is probably the best place to learn in the non charter public school system. It has issues but if education is your goal this is the best place to go. It is what you make it

Wonderful experience for three of my children at MHS! My children were very successful there and had great teachers!

This school makes it seem as though it wants the best for its students. It trys to act as if it can keep up with the times by installing smartboards in class rooms, but godforbid if a student wants to bring in a tablet in order to keep their lives more organized and to help them accel in classes. just a few minutes ago a held a brief meeting with the principle whhere he told me i could not use my tablet , in which i made clear i would hold all responsibility for , in my AP Classes in order to help me accel. In stead he said it would be a distraction to me and it will wind up lost or stolen, like he some how kneew what kind of person i am or the responsibility to have. i inforemed him of how i could take off any games and leave it with just the note pad app., but to him it wasnt good enough. So to really cap this i think its safe to say that they dont care about kids education because had he said yes id be in class learning right now instead of using the fulltime accessablie computers, But i guess they are not distracking huih?!
