As an employer this is one of the hardest schools to get your correct transcript from .if I didn’t attempt myself I would have fired my apprentice for not being able to get his license. Meanwhile it’s prevented me from hiring 2 new apprentices for over a year.

The teachers and administrators are only out to get you. They don’t care about us. You leave your class and a dean or security guard will follow until you enter your class again.

The teachers and students are great. The classes are small but the classes are not very demanding. A lot of students do go to college but not a lot of them graduate, because they find that they were not appropriately prepared academically to succeed at this level. Overall, the administration and school board putout a lot of fluff so that they can look good on paper.

The classes offered are not challenging. No Ap level available, no elective options and no homework is assigned due to the schedule of one week shop and the next week academic. Students are all granted extended time to turn in assignments and retake tests, so it is difficult to assess the students true ability. The only accurate measure is that many students are able to go to college, and of that group- very view are able to graduate from college.

Classes are not challenging and not much is offered for choices?

The students are high quality kids. They are not allowed in if they have behavioral problems and if they get in trouble the administration is quick to expel or press charges.

Administration only cares about giving family and friends jobs. The surrounding towns are losing a lot of money forced to send their students to this school. This school puts most of its money into a school wide gated camera monitored security system. Admin and school board control all information and do not allow the community access to any negative information. A lot of money pays for a lot of levels of administration. There is a lot of money pouring into this school at the expense of the surrounding towns. Because it is one school and one district it has the highest paid superintendent, principal, admin and consultants then any of the surrounding towns. The school board, administration, and teachers union president are all on the same team giving favors for more power and money. And there is nothing anyone can do about it because they control all the information including the police officer.

Students with cognitive limitations are put in unchallenging classes and not allowed to receive failing grades. The course demands across the board are much less rigorous than most public schools.

The administration itself bullies its own staff so how could they be effective with the students. They tell parents what they want to hear and puch out the students and parents that they do not like.

Northeast metro tech, is my favorite high school. It's a great school because, guidance counselor are very helpful, teachers are great, lots of family relative in the school, the Deans helps out with the students when they have problems, and etc. I do recommend for your child to go to this school so they can have someone that will care for her/him and have a grear future.

Northeast provides an excellent opportunity for students to be job ready upon graduation. Now that the economy is questionable, parents should consider a trade school for their children to learn marketable skills such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.. These jobs will always be in demand.

My daughter was a full-time Pre-school student last year at Northeast Metro Tech High School. She came into that program basically a loner, who was quiet and shy. When she left Northeast she had a best friend, confidence and an opinion. The Early Child Care Teachers and high school students gave my daughter so much attention that she confidently walked into Kindergarten. On her first day, she brought her pink feathered pen tucked into her "Diary" where she practiced her letters and numbers. Thank you, Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Perry and the class of 2013.

My daughter has gone to this school and I think it's exellent! I went there as a teenager as well and my mother said that I had done better then she'd ever imagined.
