I'm currently a junior at SHS and honestly love it. The teachers here are absolutely amazing and genuinely want you to understand what you are learning. Yes the building is in really poor condition but for the 24-25 school year we will finally be moving into the new building! Lunch is free for everyone and it's not the worst thing ever, def not the best though. Love the teachers, they are the best, Shout-out to Mr Bach!!!

I went to this school for 2 years. I dropped out junior year, came back. And then after several weeks I was told I was falling behind, and it appeared I might drop out again. I was asked to take a few days to think about it. I called the the school and informed them of my decision to remain enrolled. As I went back, I went to two classes, went to lunch, and then was asked to leave by the new vice principal Ms Robbins. She told me I was not welcome there, and that I was suppose to have a meeting before I came back, which they never told me. I was then escorted off the property. I miss high school, I miss my teachers, most not all, I miss seeing my friends everyday. I had a teacher there, mr. Bach, and he very influential. He told me I literally have any job and be great at it, I could be anything I could possible want as long as I worked for it. I think about that sometimes, and how now I’ll always be a statistic. I failed out of high school, because the school refused to help with my depression and anxiety. Every time I told them about it, I could feel them writing it off as unimportant. I wasn’t seen as a threat to myself at that time. My question to them was, why are you going to wait until everything gets worse for me? Why not help me now? Why are you waiting until I absolutely hit rock bottom? Anyway, that’s my experience.
