The teachers at this school are bullies and will find any reason to pick on you over nothing. I had a music teacher throw a chair at someone. There is a teacher named Sloane who loves to give out recess detention. She is a bully and should not work near kids at all. I reported bullying to some staff members, and nothing was done when I was there. But they sure do love to sit in a circle and talk about bullying, while acting like it doesn't happen when it does.

My son has been bullied in this school since the third grade, despite getting the principals and special needs team and even the superintendent of schools John Otri, there is no accountability for bad behavior, the staff is overwhelmed. They pushed my son off of his I E P in order to accommodate non english speaking students and behavior problem kids, my son has autism. I was personally assaulted by a student walking home with a group of kids. Please do not send you child to this school, my family is moving far from this whole disgraceful city, and i have lived here for over forty years. Run

Horrific..I feel bad for some of the good teachers that are trying to do the best they can, there are a few that really care and a few that are truly amazing which is why i stayed, its not the teachers as much as it is the Administration, Special Needs department and the fact that this city is over crowded the school barely holds music, art, or any extra ciricular programs at all, we have violent kids mixed in with special needs kids in the classes , I have been a parent of two kids that attended, from the time this school was built, and at the beginning it was nice, now with in the past 5 years the school has been through so many principals i lost count, the population is about 27 kids to 1 teacher , i could go on for days ..please do not let your children attend this school .

This school sucks because the children doesn't learn as much stuff as schools in Tennessee

Im in 5th grade (middle school) in the Salemwood school and I think its the most fun and most educational school out there in Malden!

Salemwood is an amazing school, and is also Level One, the ONLY level one school in Malden. We got recognized by the governor out of ALL the schools in Massachusetts for a grant for a fitness center -- The best fitness center there is. It deserves recognition for having very intelligent students that work hard to get to the top and give their school a good name.

My mother was in Kindergarten in this school last year, initially she was very shy and quiet. Within a few months at this school with teachers like Ms. McEvoy, she became engaging in all activities and excel at each levels within her class. My daughter made sure she brought the Star of the Day home almost twice weekly if not more. At this moment, my daughter is able to read at a first to second grade level and has become a very bright and intelligent child at a young age. Thank you Ms. McEvoy and staffs!

my cousin is in that school and he is in SEI classes and now he is exiting the SEI classes because he know how to speak english better.
