I have 2 kids in the school, and have found our experience outstanding. The teachers are engaging and work hard to inspire the students. Both of my kids have decided they want to go to college and have technical careers, which I think is great.

The school offers many programs, which my kids have tried several. This includes sports clubs, robotics clubs, business clubs and many more. Ove 100 mentioned at our orientation. The school has been active in preparing kids for SAT exams, and providing opportunities for learning sessions for various colleges.

I find the social environment great. The school embraces all different cultures and makes an effort to make everyone feel welcome. My kid comes home and share new things about many different friends that are from different countries and/or have different religions. It's wonderful to see they're all kids with similar interests. Glad we moved to Burlington.

I think most schools give kids too much homework, but Burlington doesn't seem to have more than others, and might be slightly less overwhelming than other schools I've dealt with. I don't see a lot of mindless tasks, which is good.

Burlington High School has some good attributes; mainly a number of awesome teachers who are excellent educators who go above and beyond the call of duty, stand outs I know of are in history, language, and the music program is excellent.
Unfortunately this is countered by *way* too many teachers who have made it their mission to pass their personal political viewpoints onto their students. So, if you want your kids to embrace socialism, be taught that race and ethnicity define who people are, learn why America and the west--and law enforcement-- is intrinsically racist and bad, & why the world would be a better place without white males, then this is the school for your kids...I haven't been particularly impressed with the science program either, which is surprising considering we are in MIT-land. Although, to be fair, my kids are underclassmen so that could change.
Also, maybe as in most high schools these days, who knows, there seems to be a fair amount illegal drug use. Vaping is certainly widespread, and such a problem that they often shut most of the bathrooms down to try and stifle that issue, but with only 3 minutes in between classes and an expansive building having 2 bathrooms open can be pretty miserable for students.
I feel a little bad writing this are there are some really caring, decent people who do a great job at Burlington High. However, there are just too many negatives to say it's a good school. I honestly can't wait to get my kids out of there.
