RenWeb is a good tool as long as the teachers are consistent. Almost all do a great job keeping assignments listed but there is usually one each year that is hit or miss and it makes it difficult. They don’t require much homework because the kids work very hard all day. When high school begins of course more is required.

Most are excellent and it seems the ones who aren’t are being replaced.

I feel there has become more emphasis upon academic excellence and not enough on biblical principles and teachings. Rules are often in the student handbook but they aren’t enforced. I would love some consistency.

I would love to know what each person’s job description is and who to direct questions to when I have them. We have a picture, name, and title. And, there are too many titles. I would like to know who specifically handles what job. And why is the teacher always right?

If your child is young this only applies to a certain point. And, if challenges arise in later middle school and up, there isn’t much assistance offered. You are on your own.

I’m the parent so of course I’m more critical. My son is doing well and loves his school. That is what is most important to me. Overall it is a good school.

This school was a wonderful place to go for high school. Small class sizes meant teachers could focus on areas in the class room where students were struggling. The Biblical-centered learning I received provided the foundation for the faith I have today.

I attended this school from Kindergarten through 12th grade and I received a great education. Small class sizes made teachers accessible, and they were always willing to help.

My one issue with the school is the amount of homework they give. When I was a student, I felt like the administration equated quantity of work with quality of work. A lot of it was busywork.

The Biblical centered learning I received taught lessons in morality and doing the right thing. Students are held accountable to the high values taught at SCS.

Both of our sons attended from preschool through the 12th grade and they had top notch educations and were accepted into excellent colleges. Most importantly they were taught by teachers who shared our biblical Christian values.

Be prepared to medicate your active child... they push for it, hard. So if you have a little angel, you'll be fine.
