The teachers are wonderful, (most of them at least) but the general environment, fellow students, and some staff are horrible. I think there is a lot that needs to be looked at, such as issues with bullying and using substances underage. The general educational material is decent, I think the teachers mostly teach well. I just personally think they let students get away with way too much, and that things should be checked more often such as bathrooms because that is apparently where most students participate in inappropriate activities. This needs be looked into. Also the amount of discrimination from one student to the next about disabilities, race, sexuality, gender, and personal style is ridiculous. There needs to me more supervision and harsher consequences for students who constantly and relentlessly bully others. There is a also a issue with students harassing teachers, I don't know if this is a result of terrible parenting, or if the school doesn't enforce there rules hard enough, but either way disrespecting a staff member of any kind is awfully disrespectful for staff. In general I think the school could definitely have some improvement with guidelines, dress codes, and punishments. I believe that the dress code is purposely used on specific students more then others. Females of a lighter weight usually can get away with wearing crop tops and other revealing things. But for other female students that have an more to them often get told to pull their shirt down over their stomach and cover their shoulders. Male students also have more freedom in their clothing then female students do, such as the "No Spaghetti Straps" rule. This rule is ridiculous and needs to be removed. It is disgusting that the school board thinks that female students shoulders are "inappropriate" or such. It implies that students and possibly staff are sexualizing minors. There is also a problem with sexual harassment, as students will be followed, grabbed, or pushed into the bathrooms with little to no effective staff response afterwards. Overall this school, like many, has issues that result in learning struggles. This needs to be fixed. As a student at this school, I have heard and seen things that most staff don't thing twice about. Their are racial opinions as I have seen, with white students getting away with much more than students of color. Teachers also seem to punish students or yell at them for simply coughing, sneezing, etc. This needs fixing. Thank you.

At this school the teachers are really kind but they treat students like we dont understand easy stuff. But other than that, the teachers support you and treat you good as well as I know now. They always do their best to stop fights and are helpful. Overall I would say the school is okay but they hold you back a little.

My son came home asking for money to give to his teacher. I asked him what he was talking about, and he said she gave out food during a movie and he wanted to pay her back. I told him he wasn't allowed to have that particular snack and was upset teachers were handing out food and breaking their own policies. The kids are not allowed to bring in cupcakes on their birthday but the teachers can hand out whatever food they want? I called the school and left a message. The teacher that handed the food out was my son's homeroom teacher, and oddly I got a call back from his English teacher. She told me she was calling on behalf of his homeroom teacher and that "I needed some perspective on this because she was only doing it to be kind" I was BLOWN AWAY that this teacher did not have the guts to call me back, but had another teacher call me and berate me when they BROKE THEIR OWN RULE. Its not a kind gesture when you don't want your kid eat garbage in the middle of the day, when I packed him a nice full lunch. Not only that, the first week of 7th grade a boy took a picture of my son while he was using the bathroom. Let's not forget the fights and vaping problem. I am disgusted with this school and am looking at other options.

They do nothing about bullying. All they do is send you into a room for ''time-out'' or ISS. They don't have proper administration. There already has been 4 fights this year between students. My child does not feel safe at this school.

When I look at my daughters grade I see al NHI's even though she has done her work. Often times teachers will never go back and look at late work even though the teachers have told me they would go back because of this she has failed multiple times because of the teachers. She has also been catcalled and sexaully harased on school property. This school also activiley allows bullying and harassment. Guidance counslers often don't do much and bullying continues to occur and also happens of school property.

My kids go here. The school doesn't follow court orders set in place so one parent is left out. I send in a copy of our court order every year and my ex sends in a hand written note saying not to contact me or tell me anything and they don't. They allow a child to completely disrupt my daughters classes. She whines, complains, doesn't do her own work, falls asleep in class and has even stood up in class and put her hands down her pants. I complained they have done nothing. Her Mom helps from time to time at the school so the rules don't apply to that student. I know all schools have problems but breaking court orders and allowing one student to cause a classroom full of kids to not learn on a regular basis isn't the way it should be. If you teach children to not break the law because of the consequences you will face and do it themselves just isn't the way the school should be run. Plus one of the teachers gets her nose in my ex's and I's business through my daughter. I thought you go to school and learn not have a teacher ask you personal questions about their parents.
