I have nothing but great things to say about Oakview. Our experience has been positivel all around, great leadership, great teachers and great facility. The AIG program was an appropriate challenge for our son. Highly recommend.

Extremely disappointed and honestly disturbed by this school.

This school has completely failed my child in multiple ways. My daughter was in kindergarten and was told to figure it out herself when she asked for help. That is unacceptable for any school, let alone for such young children who are supposed to be supported and guided.

The lack of organization and care is alarming. They mixed up my childs records with another parent I have a legal protection order against, which is already a serious issue. Whats even worse is that they then placed my child into that individuals vehicle. That is a massive safety failure that could have ended very badly.

The leadership is just as concerning. The principal does not take accountability or address parents directly. Instead, everything gets passed off, and concerns are not handled with the seriousness they deserve. There is a clear lack of leadership and responsibility.

Its incredibly frustrating because this school used to be known as a good school under previous leadership, but it has gone completely downhill. The environment now feels careless and unsafe, and its clear that the well-being of the children is not being prioritized the way it should be.

I would strongly urge any parent to think twice before sending their child here. What I experienced is not just poor communication, its a serious failure to protect and support students.

Oakview is a warm and supportive school. The teachers go above and beyond to support every child. They take time yo support children social emotional and academic needs. My children come home excited about learning everyday!

Oakview Elementary used to be a good school, but over the past few years, it has completely gone downhill. The administration suppresses important information and repeatedly puts children in unsafe situations. The school has also shown racism and bias in the way they handle incidents.

My daughter has been both verbally and physically bullied multiple timescoming home with scratches, scabs, and even bleeding. She has been spit on, pushed, hit, and scratched. Each time, the school either made excuses or lied about filing reports, claiming they would make sure it wouldnt happen again, but the abuse continued.

When my daughter tried to speak to counselors and administrators, she was dismissed and told she was making assumptions that people didnt like hereven though there was physical evidence of abuse. She no longer feels safe or supported by those who are supposed to protect her.

I have requested to speak directly with the principal, Mr. Godday, many times, but he always avoids direct communication and instead sends Mr. Sutton to handle things for him. This shows a complete lack of accountability from leadership.

Beyond the bullying, there have been serious safety concerns with transportation. On more than one occasion, my daughters bus driver refused to let her on and abandoned her at the bus stop. She was left alone on the side of the road, a minor with no phone. When I brought this up to the school, they brushed it off as a transportation issue and showed no concern that a child was left stranded.

And dont even get me started on the school resource officer, who is constantly watching girls as they come into the school. Both my daughter and her friends have felt extremely uncomfortable with his behavior. This is unacceptable and concerning, especially in a place where children are supposed to feel safe.

Oakview Elementary may appear to be a nice school on the surface, but the reality is very different. They fail to protect children, ignore bullying, dismiss parents concerns, and show no true care for students well-being. I would strongly caution parents: do not send your children here.

Just a wonderful school, with caring and amazingly dedicated staff. Facilities are first rate and leadership is genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of the students and their mental and educational progress.

The experience my family had here was scarring. They need more support staff to help the teachers when they need to support students with IEPs or 504s. They should be intervening when there are fights on the playground.
If your child has a thick skin, doesnt need help with their lessons, is outgoing and confident they could do well here.

Oakview has been a wonderful school for my son. We found Amazing and caring teachers and a responsive administration. Id recommend Oakview to any family looking for a quality education for their child.
