My son has thrived at this school. He enjoys his teachers and fellow students. He is actively engaged in his learning and has shown significant growth educationally and emotionally since the start of his elementary time at PSPA.

I have to agree with the negative reviews. We have been at pine springs for several years now, enough time to see the true value or lack there-of.
The middle school is terrible- specifically the administration. Have you seen those shows where they send the terrible teen to be straightened out? Is comparable.
2 of my daughters attended this school. I speak from our experiences.
There is favoritism displayed. There is lack of communication and trust in the administration. They forget they are dealing with young, impressionable children. There have been negative experiences that will stick with my daughter. I have had meetings with the admin about my concerns but now they act completely different toward me.
My daughter was being called to the principals office for minor offences often and it was not being communicated to me.
She was having a difficult time with social concerns and I asked if I could come have lunch with her- and was told no.
Other parents have said similar things- lack of parental involvement-unless you are in the "inner-circle," favoritism, punishments/yelling at students.
Teachers are good but are overshadowed by administration.
Do NOT recommend.

This school is awful especially for non-white students and families. The Head of School Bruce Friend and Principal Dansky foster a culture of racism and bullying that starts at the top with the administration, teachers and all the way down to the children. This school is more concerned about its reputation than anything. This school is terrible and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone!!!

I have 4 kids in this school, from K-6th grade. I love the environment and they are all very happy there. My kids say they have never even witnessed bullying, and thats amazing to me. It is academically rigorous but the teachers are amazing.

Our experience at this school was horrible. The school isnt inclusive to all races, economic status or disabilities. Bullying is at an all time high in this school, the administrators do not take it seriously and often punish the victim for reporting when they have been bullied. The administrators seem to be more concerned about covering the reputation of the school instead of protecting the students who attend their school. We had to remove our child because they no longer felt safe at this school.

Pine Springs has been a great school to be part of: upbeat, encouraging, engaging, organized, very good at communicating with families, with a great community feel (they routinely have hangouts where families can get to know each other.) During Christmas they turned all the hallways into a winter wonderlandnever seen anything like it.

Weve had a phenomenal experience at Pine Springs. We came from a school environment that was one size fits all and weve been so impressed with how kids are taught to be themselves and teachers help cultivate kids strengths. My kids actually look forward to going to school and are falling in love with learningsuch an amazing foundation for their educational! I love how kids are encouraged to learn in a variety of different ways so the environment is really supportive. I have nothing but good things to say about all the staff and especially Likia Smith, Coach Bruce, and Mrs. Fink as well as the Special Ed team!
