This is the base school for my children, sure wish it wasn’t!!! The front office staff and data manager are unhelpful and dismissive. I have read the other reviews and spoken with other parents, the negative reviews are the most honest, the over the top reviews are made up and used to combat the negative reviews. Will be looking to enroll in a different school after my experience there.

First of the “school may look pretty” Is very dangerous The school is like 80 percent windows and its layout is a square which first was a red flag for me!Though I still enrolled my Daughters the next red flag is when my child got bullied and told 2 teachers and the other kid got not a punishment not detention or a warning! The next thing was when my daughter got to 5th grade and got her recess shortened to 20 mintutes banned from soccer, and I just found out my daughters lunch is 20 mintutes!I checked if that even was legal though it was but the very least it was before it could get the school in trouble.Last year my daughter got excluded from a reward along with some other students for no good reason!Their schools expentions are wayyy to high for my daughters grade level.Once one of my daughters the teacher got asked by my daugher why is the school a lot of windows and the teacher replied “the school is meant to be pretty not safe”.They also do not care about allergy’s IN ANY WAY!My younger daughter has a egg allergy’s and peanut so she is most of the time careful though one day she went to lunch and was buying lunch and she asked a lunch lady if their is any eggs or peanuts ij a food!Do you want to know what happened next they said not but their actually was and I am so glad she had her epi pen that day they didn’t even tell me my daughter did! They didnt alarm me that she had a allergic reaction beware of this school’s safety their also pretty strict I mean they can make your child smart and have stress and get injuryed and etc though they do sometimes aware you of problems ( 1 out of 3 times) I have more issues though this review is already getting long I,ll add it in a later review.

In my history with my child in this school, there has supposedly been a giant hole under a fence at recess that children have been climbing under. This seems unsafe and unsanitary for the children. I have tried to get in touch with teachers and principals, but I was totally ignored. My child has had horrible grades at this new school, but in the past he has had amazing grades. My child has been excluded in many fun activities, this makes him feel angry and excluded. I hope in the future this will be changed. He was banned from playing the sport that he enjoys. Why was he banned you may ask? He was banned from playing his favorite sport because he told adults when kids were stealing things from him. Another child hit him on the face with tools meant for learning, people were watching as he did this, and all the kid got was a slap on the wrist. I do not believe this school is doing a good job fitting our children for the future, both mentally and academically. My son was also bullied by other children while inside of the classroom, but the teachers did nothing and ignored my child. My child has also spoken concern on how short the lunches are at his new school. He says he doesn't have enough time to eat his food and sometimes goes hungry throughout the day. When my child tries to bring his concerns to the school he is ignored and feels like he is unheard because of this. Everyday my son barely gets out of bed when in the past he would be out the door earlier than he needed. I do not recommend this school in anyway. I hope this school can work things out and fix their issues.

From the moment we walked through the doors of Buckhorn Creek Elementary, we knew our child was in the right place. The warmth and dedication of the entire staff includng the principal was exceptional.
Every day, our little one is no excited to go to school, returns home with bright eyes, eager to share a new story, song, or craft project they've done.
The teachers here go above and beyond, not just in delivering the curriculum, but in understanding and catering to the unique needs of every student. We have seen remarkable growth in his social skills and overall confidence.

Special shoutout to the school for their emphasis on values like kindness, sharing, and respect through their positivity Project. It's a joy to see our child not just growing academically, but also emerging as a compassionate individual.

The school is really good to keep parents in the loop. They call if there is an issue and they also communicate via the app. Teachers were always really easy to get in touch with. We also had an issue with my son and another student and was called by the principal to come and speak with them and they were very helpful and helped resolve the issue immediately. My son loves the school and we feel it has a very positive school environment. We are very happy with it.

I had a bad bullying experience at this school, and virtual school was absolutely awful for my grades and I feel as though I learned nothing. I feel like Buckhorn tries to force kindness on its students so much, that everyone tries to rebell against it. Lets just say I was happy to get out of there and glad I only spent my last few years there. Each year I was there I had a worse and worse experience, 3rd grade, horrible bullying, 4th grade, horrible teacher, 5th grade, virtual school which led to a decrease in my grades and a decrease in my mental health.

Great school in a peaceful neighborhood, providing a well-rounded education. There is time provided for students to engage in soccer during the day! This is what childhood education is about! Keep up the good work! I’m proud of the leadership and staff as a whole.
