I was briefly a kindergarten teacher at the school. I was very impressed with the overall behavior of the students. The kindergarten class I had was awesome. My parents held their child accountable for their actions. They gave no excuses and fixed the behavior. I was always supported by my parents. I wish all parents were as supportive as these parents.

I have had one child to graduate from this school and I currently have one that attends this school. If your child is a quick learner then they will be ok but if your child needs a little help then this is not the school that you want to place your child. I have a child that one minute the teachers will say that she is doing well but when the report card comes home it does not reflect prior conversations. Parents are treated like outsiders and if you are a working parent don't expect to make any of their meetings or after school programs because they start at 5 or earlier. I truly hope to move my child from here

There is not enough space here to describe the horrible experience we've had with Aversboro. Things were at least bearable under the leadership of the former Principal, Mr. Dominico. Although he had his flaws, I can honestly say, he had a heart for students. But since Mrs. Stuart took the reigns, things have gone downhill drastically. Students are not celebrated, parents are treated as outsiders, and the PTA is a clique of who's who among stay at home moms. We are on the countdown to the last day of school. Until Aversboro's current leadership and staff either refocuses the attention on the reason they are there, THE STUDENTS, Aversboro will continue the downward spiral. If you have another option, run fast in the other direction.

We have stayed with this school because it was the only choice. Currently the principal is Tiffany Stuart. She has cut nearly all extra curricular activities. Kids can only learn an instrument of you get lessons from an outside company. They have dance (clogging I believe) which again is outsourced. Due to funding arrangements, students learn Chinese, rather than Spanish. I was told from previous employees that this is all due to the principal not wanting to be placed there.
My child has special needs. Their solution is to adjust the grades so he can pass. His needs are not being met.
PTA is a joke. The only thing I have seen them do is a lunch for the teachers once a year.
School music programs are almost sad. No effort is put into it. The kids stand on a blank stage on risers.
I can't wait until my kids age out of this school. Home schooling may have been better.

Great school and wonderful teachers... Both my children attend this school 2nd grade and preK, and everyday they look forward to go to school with a happy attitude. They have learned so so much, the teachers are very supportive and the principal is alwayas reachable. I hope to have my kids in this same school until they finish elementary school.

As with all schools, Aversboro has a mix of spectacular teachers and not-so-spectacular teachers. As with all schools, there are things you will absolutely love, and things that you might not be totally impressed with. I am a person who prefers to get involved and help strengthen weak areas when I see them, so when we got to Aversboro and began our experience with the most amazing Kindergarten teacher in the world, I knew it was going to be well worth my time and energy to do what I could to make the "less perfect" things about Aversboro better. I volunteer there often, attend as many school functions as I can, and love staying highly involved in the school. My daughter has received everything she has needed to excel in her education, and she looks forward to school every day. I am very excited for my second daughter to begin Kindergarten there in the fall, as I know without a doubt that it is the best possible place for her to be.
