We were not sure what to expect when moving to Wake County. Swift Creek Elementary School has been an absolute perfect fit for our family. The staff is amazing. The PTA is always involved. My kids can't stop talking about their favorite classes. They love helping in the school gardens and seeing what adventures the music class fairy is up to. We are so happy to see our kids looking forward to going to school.

I have two children at Swift Creek, now in 4th and 5th but have been there since they were 1st and K. We LOVE it! The teachers, principal, and all supporting staff are wonderful- my kids are thriving and have many opportunities to excel and do more. PBIS (Positivity Project) is emphasized here and the teachers seem to really care and are very responsive to all my communications. I think the low scores must be due to the diversity and obstacles encountered with ESL? I happen to think the diversity present at SCES is awesome and teaches my children acceptance and kindness better than they could learn at a school with less. I cannot recommend SCES enough!

I have had 3 kids go through Swift Creek Elementary... my last is in 5th grade now. I have always throught of SCES as a hiden gem - it is not a huge school and all the teachers know all the kids. I think so many of us are so happy at SCES and don't think about writing a review here. I know I didn't until our PTA recommended it - took me till the 3rd kid was almost done to do it! :-) I highly recommend SCES !

My daughter loves Swift Creek and i am surprised at the low rating on this site. We have been there since kindergarten till now - 3rd grade and the classrooms are diverse and the children are so kind to one another- she has never experienced bullying here but has experienced it at summer camps. She was able to handle herself from what she was taught at swift creek. She has loved all of her teachers and so many great involved parents are there as well.

Swift Creek is a wonderful, caring school. It is a close community in which my students are known and appreciated for who they are. The teachers truly care for each student and the entire school continually seeks ways to grow and provide for the students and their families.

They are effective because they put relationships first. Establishing strong relationships is the first and most important predictor of student achievement.

As I parent of a student who completed all 6 years at Swift Creek, and as a parent of a current student at Swift Creek, I give this school my highest recommendation. The school isn't just a building of staff and students; it's a community of parents, teachers, students, staff, and community partners. There is such a feeling of home at this school that can't be reflected in test scores alone. The diversity of the school is an asset, as it reflects the community around it. My kids learn empathy here and problem solving and benefit from being a part of a community where differences are valued and celebrated. I love this school and the memories we have created and are creating here.

As a parent, I want to provide my two kids with the best education. I also want to send them to a place where they can learn and grow into becoming caring citizens. I have found this place in Swift Creek. There is something very special about this schools culture. The teachers, administration and PTA go out of their way to create a welcoming school filled with enriching learning experiences. If you are looking for a school that offers great teachers, hands-on administration, a family-like atmosphere and a uniquely diverse learning environment please consider Swift Creek. You will not be disappointed.

We LOVE Swift Creek! We have been there for four years, and although there have been some changes within the school itself, it has not changed the integrity of the school. The students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but that is one of the many reasons that make the school so wonderful.
The size of the school is another plus for me. I love it that the students all know one another. The teachers and staff know students on a first-name basis, and students and parents feel welcome and encouraged. I see on a daily basis the children that need help are pulled out of their class to get the special one-on-one help from the aids. The children that are academically gifted get special assignments and classes too. Children on all levels can and will succeed at Swift Creek.

We have a son finishing up first grade this year and could not be happier. He has been gifted with wonderful teachers, opening his mind to the world of questions a child wants to ask. The principal and vice principal are fantastic. They engender the caring spirit from the top, exemplifying every attribute of great servant leaders. Everyone in the PTA cares greatly about the success of the school, and it shows at every event and in the every day spirit of the school. We look forward to enjoying the years ahead with the many great individuals that make up the Swift Creek Elementary School.

This is the area in which Swift Creek really shines. The ROAR values are implemented into the culture of the schools. They are Respect, On the Path to Success, Act Responsibly and Remember self-control. These values are modeled every day by staff and students. I believe that this reduces instances of bullying

There is strong leadership at Swift Creek. The new principal is very personable and knows a great deal of the students by name.

We are so happy with this school. We asked to be transferred to this school instead of our base school. The school is smaller and is very much like a family. The PTA is very active. The teachers and parents are very friendly.

Our two kids go to Swift Creek (Kindergarten and Second Grade), we have been attending for 3 years now. As a new parent to WCPSS, I didn't really know what to expect. We have been very happy with the community atmosphere and the level at which our children are learning. SCES has a wonderful, fully engaged PTA. Here, everyone knows each other. The school is the perfect size for our family - you are never just a number! You are always greeted with smiling faces and happy children. The After School Program has improved significantly since our first year here. My kids love going to both school and after-school. In fact my Kindergartner just wrote in his journal how much he loves school. Early on, in his first week at school while still getting adjusted, he had a difficult morning and resisted getting on the bus for school. I let his teacher know and she was beyond supportive. She sent me a photo of him and her beaming into the camera to show me everything was great. That's priceless for a parent. That sums up Swift Creek for me. The teachers, staff and PTA are like extended family. If you are thinking of sending your kids here, you won't be disappointed.

Swift Creek Elementary is under new leadership this year and WOW the energy of this school is contagious. The principal and assistant principal truly care about the teachers and students. Teachers are loving, supportive and really want to see all children succeed. They are constantly coming up with new and creative ways to get students engaged and excited to learn. The specials teachers are the best in Wake County! In addition, the PTA (especially the president) does a lot for the school. I am so proud to call my child a Swiftie.

I absolutely love this school!!! This school has an awesome program in place to help children who are struggling with reading fluency, reading comprehension and math. Also, teachers are willing to meet with parents anytime to discuss your child's progress. I'm so grateful for Swift Creek Elementary. These teachers deserve a pay increase because they go over and above to make sure your child succeeds academically.

Only for typical and gifted students. IMHO,lack of leadership skills top down to assist special needs students with low knowledge of working the resources available for special needs students.
