Horrible experience for a neurodivergent child. Bullying was constant and ignored if the bully was close to certain staff members. Teachers struggle to understand how to implement IEPs, constantly argue amd try to justify it. Staff uses teachings with children. When you try to have Godly, respectful conversations im hopes to move forward in a positive direction, the staff just becomes more unfair to your child, to the point it's bullying and you'll want to leave. Because of so many ungodly actions from staff that took place towards my child, and friends children that attended this school, I beg to not trust this schools with your children, especially one that isn't able to communicate effectively
It breaks my heart that this is where my child learned that even saved adults working at a Chistian school can behave to please the devil.

I really want to give a positive review for the school. We’ve had an excellent time at the preschool, but not elementary. Unfortunately, between bad communication and gaslighting of the parents by the administration and the teachers I just cannot recommend this school. Unfortunately, the teachers do not meet the students where they’re at. They are only willing to work with students that sit down and be quiet the entire day. If your child is neurodivergent, they won’t work with them to help them become better students. All they do is complain, and give you an explanation of why they dislike your child. They use a curriculum that you can easily buy on Amazon for homeschooling. All the students do all day is worksheets. Therefore, if your student doesn’t sit still, and do all their work in one sitting, they are penalized, even if they make A’s on every single test they take. When parents reach out to ask about missing work and for the student to bring home the missing work, it never comes home.

Private schools need to be rated as well. The administration seems to listen to the concerns of the teachers and parents. Not much comes from admin after listening. I love the fact that there is prayer in the school. I do not like how you might get a good teacher that really tries to teach and help your child. Then, you might get a sorry teacher that says they are really trying to help and teach your child. Unfortunately, my child has the latter teacher. This is our first year. I have seen that this teacher grades each child differently. If the subject is science, grade on the science! Do not grade on how well the child writes. There is a subject for that. I also do not like the fact that elementary and middle school tests weigh 60% of a grade but all of their class work is only 40%. Some children make 100’s on all of the class work, then have test anxiety and make 70’s on a test. This brings their grade down drastically! I also do not like the way that we are paying for their education but can not seem to get the help or skills needed to help our child succeed or strive. My child has to deal with bullying on top of all the course overload. Help the children. Make them feel good about all of the good they are doing instead of focusing on the one or two negative things. There are only 2 teachers per grade level. I like that. I am having a hard time recommending this school. It seems like the more you pay, the better your child is treated. Excuse me, I pay tuition and everything else that gets sent home weekly requesting money for! My child should be treated like royalty just like the children that seem to be putting thousands of dollars into the school. Every child should be treated equally. I want to recommend this school because of allowing God in the school. I do not want to recommend this school because of all drama and heart ache my child has to deal with.

God does not just want you to pray he wants you to take action and stand up for what is right. Prayer is supposed to be helpful and guide you to DO the right thing--not something to hide behind. It is just sad. I think I will pray on that!

One teacher is great and the other is not. The PE and library teachers are very nice.

They will "pray about problems" and then do not follow through with action. I agree pray about it; but if you do not act on what God calls you to do --what is the point? Very weak administration.

Every teacher we have had the past four years we have loved.

This school is all about building responsible individuals.

We love, love this school. Our children have been attending this school for four years and can testify that Christian education makes the whole circle in our home. My husband and I would of never been able to teach our children Biblical truths like Christain education does. Every teacher has a Godly given gift that has impacted our children in a postitive way. My husband and I will be forever grateful for every teacher our children has had. This school is about building Christ like leaders for the time to come. They are big about helping every student meet his or her educational potential.

Great Christian Based Education School. Our son has attended NTA since 3 years old, Pre K. The class sizes are small in number, large in leadership. We have been very satisfied in the education our son receives. He continues to excel not only educationally, more so spiritually. This school transforms children into Godly young adults.

NTA - is fair. Our son is held accountable for his actions good or bad. They have zero tolerance for students and teachers in the wrong but also are real and work to grow. There is always room for improvement but overall NTA is doing a good job.

NTA is what I would consider a great school for K-5th grade. We started in K-5 and are now going into 4th grade. We like the teachers, the atmosphere and the education. Our son is doing very well. I wish they focused more on writing but overall for the price, this is a great school. My son's foundation is being formed by his peers, teachers and the academy. GB NTA!

We decided to move our son here five years ago. It was ultimately the best decision we could ever make for our child. The level of education and love is like no other. Thanks to all the staff for their unending concern and well being for all these young people!

My daughter is a high school student at NTA. A critical component of high school selection for us was college planning and preparation. We wanted to allow her the opportunity to excel in high school academics and programs, while focusing on being ready for the next chapter of her life.
The high school department at NTA achieves excellent in college preparation. This year's graduating class has acceptances to the most competitive universities and many with great scholarship amounts! Campbell University awarded it's highest scholarship to a NTA senior, two military academy appointments, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Wilmington, UNC Asheville, Western Carolina, Methodist, University of Alabama and many many more. This information is available on the NTA website and facebook page.
Those acceptances prove that the coursework and teacher involvement at NTA prepare the students to perform well academically and have all the characteristics that admission representatives are looking for in the highly competitive acceptance process. Test scores of NTA students far exceed to averages of Cumberland County students, North Carolina students, and students nationally. The potential cost of college for my daughter is something we are concerned about. That's why we feel like attendance at NTA is an investment. She will be ready to apply for colleges and the coursework will prepare her to receive scholarships.
If you are looking for a high school program to prepare your child for college acceptance, NTA has the best programs! Their college acceptance rates and test scores do not lie. After looking at many private schools in town and comparing apples to apples in college preparation, there is no comparison to NTA.

Well this school was terrible. I'm very glad I left. First of all, it's way too expensive and they're always begging for money. That's all they want. A lot of teachers at that school has had affairs, so there's always drama. The teachers are hypocritical and play favorites. If you're not perfect, they'll pick on you and make your life's miserable. Some of the teachers don't even have a degree in the class they teach so they know nothing. The gym has about 3 rows of bleachers. So there's never any room. DON'T GO TO NTA YOU WILL REGRET IT.

This school was wonderful for my Pr-K child and 1st grader. We have since moved but we loved it and miss it. The teachers and staff were so caring and the children were very polite. I could not ask for more in a school

Let's just say NTA left a very bad taste behind. My son still talks about how unfair the teachers were. My son was stung by a hornet and had an allergic reaction and nobody called me. This was just one of many incidents

Our child has attended Northwood Temple Academy since second grade and is now in high school. The administration and teachers have been wonderful. The academics are exceptional and prepare young people to excel. But with the academics comes teachers who really care about each individual child and their spiritual growth as well. Great school and well worth it!

Northwood has a solid program. The spiritual aspect of the school is far above average. The students are taught not only the basic subjects one would expect, but that Christians impact their culture through strong missions and living out their faith. The school feels it is so important that they actually have a Spiritual Life Coordinator to lead the students in mission projects and challenging chapel programs. I am very impressed what my fifth grader has learned!

Northwood Temple Academy has amazing teachers and administrators who love their jobs and their students. They truly care about the students mind body and spirit! Students who have graduated have gone on to major state universities and excelled in their chosen career fields - I know, because I am one!
