as a Special ed student I say........ "some" of the teachers are lazy, unmotivated and weird. One of the principles dress coded my dear friend for absolutely no reason. They don't know what discipline is for sure, because I was at P.E and the students we're acting out and the coach raged like an insubordinated five-year-old instead of solving the situation. They actually don't care for disability children. It's hard to fathom how much this school is lacking.

As a rising 9th grader, I went to this school in 6th, 7th, and a semester in 8th grade. I moved to another county and another school for the second semester, and the school I'm in now is horrible. The kids are rude, and the teachers are completely uninvolved with the students. I'm so happy to be going to one of the high schools in Harnett County in the Fall. Although this school has a 5, I find it to be one of the BEST schools in Harnett County.

As a former student at coats-erwin i would rate it at a 6 or 7 ... they stay on top of bullying and fights ... and they leave no child behind .... i was an odd kid in middle school but i made friends i never go put out ... ive never known anyone at coats-erwin to not have at least 2-3 friends by their first year there ... i loved it there .. wish i could go back some day ...

This school has a total lack of caring for the student, The school gives out detentions to students who for the first time forget the agenda notebook because they are unprepared for class. It is unbelievable to me that one simple mistake gets such a out of proportion response. The school administration should be given detention for their uncaring unprepared approach to the open house. If I can find another school I will be moving my child away from this awful place.

The roaches have become overwhelming,, crawling the walls in broad daylight. not to mention the teachers passing along students just because they dont want to deal with them anymore!
