This school was one of my greatest experiences in my life, the teachers were trained professionally, and they understood me.

they offer many different academic, athletic, and college prep programs, some teachers are better then others, and the education may not be the best however it is definitely not the worst. i am a student at brewster middle and personally something that really pulls me there is the people. i wouldn't look forward to school if there weren't so many friendly smiles and people, we are a very connected community, with a decent education.

It has been a very nurturing and an extremely supportive environment for my child.

There is a good amount for these grades.

My child has learned a lot in a very supportive environment. The teachers really care about the students and enjoy the middle-school age.

Citizenship awards are handed out to one student per team and students want to get them. There is zero tolerance for bullying.

The teachers are performing well. The administration has made sure videos of sports games are broadcasted live for deployed parents.

My son was assulted by another student . After days of trying to contact the principal, through email, phone and going into the school . She finally called me . Down played it told me they will follow protocol . I heard from a teacher and my son that the boy has repeatedly done this to other students and only got a lunch detention, which they hand out like candy and is like nothing to the kids . Do not trust them with your kids safety . They don't care .

Expect obstacles at every turn if you have a special needs child. The teachers will take your child's IEP as a light suggestion, and you will constantly have to babysit them, leaving you frustrated and having to react with near-trantrum behavior before anyone actually responds to requests. Polite, and adult correspondence is met is silence and goes ignored.

This school may do this for a student who is not special needs, but for one that is special needs it holds them back. It has aggressive aides who are unsympathetic to the needs of a special needs child. They lack the ability to make a connection and treat the relationship in a militaristic approach. This has caused severe self esteem problems for my child in regards to his time at school. I only hope that no other children are having to suffer through this.

Poor communication, untimely responses, slow entering in grades in website, ignoring a special needs student's obvious struggling with classwork and allowing them to fail instead of making the appropriate school staff aware so it can be addressed in the IEP.

Homework is disorganized, often with difficult to understand directions. The 7th grade Language Arts teacher, on numerous occasions, has sent home assignments with spelling errors. The 7th grade Science teacher is unable to effectively communicate homework assignments causing frequent misunderstandings in completion of work, having to completely redo projects.

I have no experience with this topic.

If your child has an IEP and comes to this school, you will be constantly on his/her teachers weekly, reminding them that they need to be adhering to it. Don't expect a lot of support from staff. No one will have your back.

We came in halfway through the school year and its like they expect you to automatically know the rules of base schools simply because it's a middle school. Wrong assumption, none of my children have ever attended on base school before. within 2 months of being there my child was suspended, why? For dress code violations. Dress code violations people. The vice principal was less than helpful and she is now the Principal this year. my child was also supposed to have an IEP and 504 put in place before school started and it has yet to be implemented and they don't seem to be in a hurry.

Ms. G the band teacher is the one saving grace for this school. She is absolutely amazing!

Homework is absolutely unnecessary unless its schoolwork you haven't completed at school. Because someone decided that 7 hours of learning at school just wasn't enough.

No because they aren't treated with any sort of fairness. No matter how you act in class, depending on the teacher depends on how they decide to treat you.
