This school does not regard personal medical information. I submitted an important medical document, the school front office, and nusre lost it. There are more mediocre teachers than good ones. There are better options, than North Side. Do your research. I urge you to document every time you submit any documentation because the front office is very complacent, based on my personal experience.
BEWARE!!!!

I’m not gonna lie, after the murder that took place my (now snr) freshman year nothin has been the same. It feels like a prison, zero phone policy where they expect us to have them locked away in our back packs, the inability to congregate in the mornings being forced to go directly to class without socializing, the individual hall dismissals, and the bathroom policies. Don’t get me wrong they have staff that will support you and help you, but you have to strongly strongly advocate for yourself, which they don’t teach. Student outreach is limited, and I don’t really recommend this school.

This schools not it im gonna say that right now. Everyday I have to go it personally makes me feel worse and worse. Let me explain. Firstly. We’re not allowed to have cell phones out AT ALL. Not even during lunch or power hour. Secondly, the minute you first walk in you have to right away go to class. You’re not allowed to wait til the bell rings or nothing. Lastly, when it’s time for dismissal they dismiss by halls instead of letting everyone js leave. Idk how to explain it you’ll know what I mean if you gotta come here. From my experience, I seriously hate this school because I feel like they took away everything that makes me wanna go to school. I feel bad for you if you gotta go to this school.

Jacksonville High was biased and taught me nothing but never trust adults. Northside actually gave me my high school life back.

Wonderful school and staff! We had a terrible experience at Richland's High when we moved here 2 1/2 years ago with a very incompetent staff. I did not want my daughter going through what my son did so we moved. Northside staff has gone above and beyond to make sure she would not only graduate on time, but early! It is a large, clean, updated school with tons of opportunities for the students. My daughter has really grown and flourished at Northside!

As a parent of a graduating senior, I had to give a huge "way to go!" to the principal and staff at Northside. Our daughter has flourished in this school both through academics and sports. The teachers are great and push the kids to want to achieve great things for themselves. I would recommend this school to anyone coming to Jacksonville!

My daughter is a senior this year and my other is a freshman. I can't say enough good things about Northside. The principal is very involved and cares about her students. The teachers are active in the student's education, they want the student to succeed. They stress the importance of parent/teacher communication. I am updated on progress through emails as needed. The sports program is equally good. They just started a swim team and girls lacrosse.
