Awful. I would highly recommend looking for a better educational program or homeschooling your children.

My childs kindergarten teacher gives adequate homework but I feel class work is where the ball is dropped.

The teacher that my child has always seems to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. She has good ideas but implementing them is a problem.

You can seek help with issues via Counselors, Principal, even the childs teacher and receive no feedback whatsoever. I hate it and am working on getting my child in a better school district for the 2020-21 school year.

Gave my childs teacher the paperwork for her IEP in August 2019...its April 2020 and she had done absolutely nothing to have my child place in a program for children with disabilities. Thank goodness I am a stay at home mom and have the time and put in lots of extra effort to work with my baby.

I would rate this school as a school no child should be subjected to without a change in principle, policies, and teachers.
Posted: September 29, 2019
The teachers do not fully explain the homework to the students and give too much homework.
Posted: September 29, 2019
The teachers do not really teach they just want to give the children papers or put them on computers and not have to do anything else.
Posted: September 29, 2019
This school breaks kids down and makes them think they are failures or less than they are.
Posted: September 29, 2019
There is no leadership, the principle just goes along with whatever the teacher says. It's a system of us against them. This means that the teacher is always right and the parent or student is wrong. The principle always takes the teachers point of view.

The school does not support its students with learning differences. This school tries to put a label on a student that learns differently.
Posted: September 29, 2019
This school ignores the bully and punishes the person being bullied.

I would rate this school with a 0 if possible

As a kindergartener first impressions mean everything. Well bullying on the bus (as I'm sure you've read in previous reviews) still exist. I have an idea why...they do nothing. The principal gave excuses and the run around so I took my child off the bus because defending himself would result in suspension. The front office staff is still quite rude and unprofessional (they "try" to keep the appearance of professionalism). When my child started singing songs that we do not listen to in our house upon inquiry I was told the music teacher just played music on their computer. They have no instruments. Discipline is lacking. The only saving grace was a new teacher. If I could clone her I would, she was so attentive, sweet, caring, yet firm and fair. Everything an elementary school teacher should be and more. But alas I couldn't muster up enough pros to allow my child to stay there another year. I knew there was a reason why so many parents tried to move further down the road to get to a better school. Good luck to this school and I hope they turn around because it's the kids that would ultimately suffer.

This school needs to get it together at the front desk as a step parent that quite often pucks up my step, i am so sick of being bombarded with phone calls to the parent to see if its ok after the parents have already sent a note. Every week its a battle LEARN MY NAME AND MY FACE. I can appreciate the security but its a broke system.

My daughter has gone to several schools throughout Cumberland county and the us because of my husband being military. This was by far the worst school we have ever been to. The turnover for teachers is high and the principal is awful. I have never experienced such a rude professional in my life. I don't understand how she is still employed as an educator. My daughters teacher was excellent in 2nd grade but at the end of the year she left. Her 3rd grade teacher was amazing also but again by year end she was also gone. I hear they have a new principal this year so maybe things will be better but if you hear that Tammy Holland is your child's principal run to another school

School location is only great perk. Rude uneducated office support staff. Teachers are educated but the principal is very rude and is not very easy to communicate with. The homework is over the top and tests are extreme. She has favorites and seems to be agressive I hope they switch the staff for my childrens upcoming years or I may have to switch schools. I think the leadership should be more diverse.

The leadership at this school is horrible. The principal is rude and very unprofessional. She talks down to students, parents, and teachers. She has on several occasions given me a rude look, blown of my concerns or made a rude comment to me. The students in 3rd,4th, and 5th grade are put under an incredible (sometimes unrealistic) amount of daily pressure to pass their end of grade testing. The Principal only rewards students who pass their E.O.G test and does little to nothing to celebrate students who have made large growth and progress. The leadership at this school has created an environment where students are feeling inadequate and hate school by the end of 5th grade. I would not recommend this school to anyone!

I am very happy with Lucile Souders! I was worried when we first moved here and reading all the reviews about the area and school. But that quickly changed once my daughter started school. The teachers, staff, and principle are FANTASTIC. It's nice to walk in and everyone knows your name as well as your child. The class size was perfect and there was a teachers assistant always there. My daughter was challenged mentally everyday. The homework was appropriate and since the teacher and I communicated at least twice a week, She offered to send more work home to add to the challenge. I can't wait for my son to start.
