This was a great school for me to attened. The teacher and administration set me up for success and also they care about every student attending the school. I was a abe to get into a good college with a full scollorship and although many people there go to community college these people if they applied can get into requlare 4 year colleges.

Cleveland was a great school. People will say bad things about the dress code, which is partially true girls will often get in trouble more than men do for wearing shirts with inappropriate messages or sagging pants. The principal often gives verbal warnings about them equally but the womens violations are usually taken more seriously from what I could tell. I do feel like a lot of Cleveland classes only focus on memorization and short-term learning, which is fine for some classes but meh for others. Overall, though, they really do try to help you and there are a wide variety of clubs and sports to join.

The school is very picky about it's new dress code and although it's a county dress code they still pick and choose when to use the dress code. For example our DRESS CODE says that we must not show skin from our chest to mid thigh, though teachers say they won't check length. However, I have almost been dress coded for a sweater that went down to my knees. It's ridiculous. Among other bad things. Teachers are 9/10 good though.

For the most part this school is fine exept for their dress code policies and enforcement. The staff scrutinize the females for dress code violations that are borderline ridiculous. This teachs young women that it is their reaponsibility to make sure they aren't a 'distraction' to male students and staff instead of promoting and environment of self control and respect.

Excellent structure. Variety in courses taught. I do feel left out as I never hear about anything coming up that I really need to be made aware of. Just found out that theres a weekly newsletter. This is my 2nd child going through. He did not like being there so he and a friend got together and they were homeschooled for last 2 years, it was wonderful. I have to send so many emails out to teachers to get responses on assignments, grades,etc. I usually have a50% rate that I hear back from him or her. Try to go to their class websites theres nothing there. No resources for the kid, no follow ups, just almost blank page. I have yet to feel a part of this school. Im blind. I cant help my child without books or websites or updated emails. I want to know well before my child has a failing grade in order to correct the problem.

They all are inconsistent on utilizing computers. Thus, not allowing students access to as an example would be google classroom. Why cant they do some of their work at home. Its urgent when you have a sick child that has to be at home and struggle every day to run catchup. Just on tutorial days.

There are a few that I feel give too much homework. Most understand that kids have other activities outside of school such as gymnastics and volleyball so they don't overdo it.

Really great schools!! I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of moving to this area. We moved from Harnett county because of the really poor schools there and, 2 years later, we are glad we did. Both of our kids are doing much better and are more excited about school than they ever were at their old schools. There really is a huge difference when most of the parents care about their kids' education and are involved in their kids' lives. They encourage parent and teacher meetings and many parents regularly volunteer. We are thrilled with west view and Cleveland high school.

My son's second year at this new school. They offer advanced classed to keep him challanged. This year, as a sophmore, he is taking AP classes. He loves "power lunch" with his friends , they all eat at the same time and can sit inside or outside in the courtyard. Also during this time, basketball is offered or tutorials on subjects students need tutoring on. No problems on the bus. This school was just built & the campus is beautiful, warm and friendly. Plenty of after school clubs/ sports to keep busy. He does really well!
