Teachers allow students to bully other students. The bullying between students is terrible and is allowed by all staff to continue. Apparently the staff is completely incompetent and apathetic.

This school has a beautiful campus, as well as well behaved children, and proper discipline. I would recommend this school if you want to have a good environment for your child/yourself.

I was a student at this school from the years of 2020-2022. I was bullied on the bus daily and after talking to the school counselor MANY times and my dad calling the principal MANY times, nothing was ever done. I failed all of my classes in 7th and 8th grade but they passed everyone due to the pandemic. I was also raped in the school bathroom by an unknown boy in 7th grade. After hours and hours on the phone with the police and the school, they told us there was nothing that could be done. My depression was crippling and i attempted to take my life many times while attending this school because of how terrible the people were. Never send your middle schooler to this school.

If you are trying to decide between this school and Holly Ridge, Holly Grove has much better behaved children.
I have subbed at both but my kids went to Holly Grove. They would have hated Holly Ridge. Too many chaotic kids.
I like the overall vibe here much better.
Its not perfect.
Kids get away with some stuff but the staff cares and is doing what they can without being drill sergeants.

The staff here are usually pretty good. But one of the admins forced me off of track three and had no compassion for anything including my family plans for trips and my friend groups.

My daughter has really liked this school and has felt supported by the teachers and admin. She has made a great group of friends and the teachers are effective when it comes to making sure she understands.

Almost a year and a half in, and it seems almost all of the teachers encourage laziness in their classes. A 6th grade math teacher practically enabled cheating and no action was taken when we reported actual cheating that was taking place. Poorly done and incomplete work (even on major projects or assignments) is given the same grade as work that is complete and exceptional. Plagiarism isn't addressed. No comments are made about misspellings, texting lingo, and major grammatical errors in formal assignments. Tests are all multiple choice. Most teachers provide no opportunity for critical thinking.

Every adult I have encountered at this school does not seem to care whether or not kids are getting what they need to learn. The principal, counselor, and teachers, either do not communicate or are not helpful at all. I have had only one teacher out of 2 years and two students that I can say actually communicates with me. The main response I get from anyone is that there is not anything they can do. The front desk administrative person does not greet you, looks at you like you are from another planet, and does not provide assistance with answering questions. I am transferring my child because of how horrible the staff handles things. In less than 24 hours I have had a quicker and more positive response from the school I am transferring my child to.

We love it here. It has ample opportunities for students to succeed and find somewhere where they belong. We love the staff here as well!

Integrity, compassion and respect is not something you expect your teachers to teach your children, those are traits thought at home, we can not expect teachers to be parents as well

Teachers involved and available to assist student if needed to make sure they meet their goals,Kids are provided with all the tools to succeed but it's up to the child to take advantage of those opportunities and for parents to make sure children are doing what they need to.

With a principal who does not care enough to train her staff adequately in safety/health procedure, she demonstrates no integrity and is a poor example to her students.

My daughter was assaulted at school by another student. For her troubles, she was suspended for fighting back, and received a concussion that took a month and a half for her symptoms to subside. The principal failed to adequately train her staff on how to handle head injuries and refuses to take responsibility. She's inept and incompetent.

Many, many parents have reached out to me with stories of bullying at this school proving that time and time again the administration does not care about the safety and wellbeing of its students.

Zero. We've since pulled our daughter out of this school and are working with an attorney to see if we can get the school to get its act together.
