i was recommended this school by a friend and i wish i wasnt. it was the absolute worst experience i have ever had. every single aspect of it was horrible. the drop off line in the morning was DANGEROUS, after confronting the school several times nothing changed. the police were involved a few times in just the year i was there. i have never seen parents so OK with attempting to run over other parents AND KIDS. Along with the fact that the school was also OK with this behavior.
As far as education they fail horribly. My daughter was failing and i spent THE ENTIRE YEAR trying to get her help with no progress AT ALL. SHE ENDED UP FAILING! no tutors. no child study team help. nothing. i spoke with the teacher and principle several times with no changes. i spent the entire year trying to get ahold of the child study team and never even got a call back or even as much as a email about my childs education.
along with small issues that were not very small. Like meeting the teacher before the school year, asking if my child needed to bring anything to class daily, being told no. THEN finding out at THE END OF THE YEAR that they have snack time twice a day and parents have to supply the snacks....my child went the entire school year watching every other child in her class eat everyday while she SAT THERE AND WATCHED. At no point did the teacher try to reach out to me and tell me to supply snacks, WHICH I WOULD OF DID?!
i would never recommend this school and honestly think it shouldnt even exist.
this does not even cover some of the other weird things that happened. Like several instances of my child being sent home early for a "accident" in new clothes....except her old clothes were sent in a bag and WERE NOT DIRTY. yeah thats right. no accident. yet you changed my child? for what? they need to be investigated. this school is sick.

Absolutely horrible. Went here and hated it. Seems to be the general consensus, even among the staff.

As a teacher, we are told not to grade the homework, so in essence it is a waste of time.

The teachers here can not be effective due to a lack of supplies/support.

Leadership of this school is greedy and refuse to help staff in times of need. The people who "own" the school regularly take cruises and other expensive trips, while their teachers pay for their own supplies etc.

The reason the charter school has such high test scores is because they are allowed to pick and choose who they want in their school.

They have a guidance counselor who is going between three schools. She is stretched thin and unable to accommodate all students.

I have been an educator for over ten years. I worked here for 3 1/2 years and have NOTHING positive to say whatsoever. The administration lies and refuses to support teachers. In fact, if a teacher asks for support 9/10 they are simply fired. I do not recommend working here or sending your child here.

I sure hope your child doesn't have developmental delays, because if they do this school will chew that child up and spit them out. And they will pray you take your child elsewhere so their numbers don't suffer.. They will not address the problem, they will not respond to emails, they will not help your child succeed.. in fact they do exactly opposite of that. Horrible school, I pray they shut it down before they root their negative energy into any more children. Punishment is their favorite thing to do.. as if the kids are losing a whole lot anyway with their dusty playground when they aren't allowed recess.. do not send your child here, if you love them send them to a school that will love them too.

My daughter has been attending MPCS for the past two years and I love it. The classes are small so the students actually get one on one attention. They are very strict but I like the discipline for the kids and it keeps bullies away. If you look at the test scores of other schools MPCS does much better. The school year is longer and the school days are longer but that helps the kids keep as much information as possible.

This school is like a family. They are making a lot of great changes here. I feel very comfortable sending my child to this school!
