I feel very emotionally distresseed because I do not like the way the school teaches talk and I feel less engaged I would highley recromend a better learning system fun and engaging for all students. A kindley suggestion is mabye adding a fun way of leaerning and minimal homework. I also feel that schools are taking away students creativity and replacing them with obedience I feel veary worried for the fate of students in the real world because we dont learn about adulthood.

This school is amazing. They offer so much for kiddos and support for families. Highly recommend!

This school has gave a poor experience to my child because of the ridiculous amount of bully’s and some teachers do not trust you at all.Some teachers are also overall unkind.

This school has a 'zero tolerance policy'. Any school fight were children hit each other even self-defense is reported to the local police department. They do file charges even when no injuries are present and even when parents don't wish to press charges. The U. S. Department of Education came out with a lengthy statement in 2014 AGAINST zero tolerance. Zero tolerance is not supported by peer reviewed literature, because it doesn't work. An innocent childhood fight can turn into a criminal record for your child at this school.

very few teachers show any concern for your child or wanting to help they and the principal well put your child down

the school does give lots of homework including work that has to be done on computers if you do not have a computer your child will fail

this is not a good school for students who have ADHD or any other problem all of their grading is based on homework assignments they say that they will help say that they'll try to get you a 405 and actually do nothing to help then failure kid based on homework and tell you that you have to pay 250 dollars to send your kid to summer school because the school failed to do what they promised

This is a school that does not care to work with your kids if they have ADHD or any kind of problem like that they will lie to you tell you they are going to help get a 504 for your kid and just not do it then when your kid can't pass mostly because of homework they want you to pay 250.00 to send your kid to summer school because they couldn't do there job this school does bully your kids call them names like lazy pathetic tell your kids they will not amount to anything this is in no way a good school for average or less than average students

I would highly recommend MMS! My family moved here a couple of years ago so my children have attended multiple middle schools. On paper, they both received high ratings, but in reality, Mechanicsburg Middle blew the other top rated school away! The teachers here are very concerned with each students progress. They really strive to help each child to reach his or her potential. Like one of the previous raters, I have kids with different needs and varying abilities to complete classwork and homework. The teachers worked with me to ensure that my son was challenged, but not overwhelmed. I found the staff very accommodating and helpful. Additionally, they offer advanced math classes for those who need it. We have been very pleased with MMS!

I honestly feel that this is a very poor school. First of all the school staff talks about other students like they are children. Second they only care about homework and many teachers are lazy and childish. Also the school serves disgusting food and even teachers say they won't touch it which is very pathetic and they use grade F meat (a higher grade of meat is used in dog food) Lastly the teachers are almost like bullies I have heard of kids being called pathetic a waste and other things.

This is an excellent school! The teachers and faculty care about each and every student as an individual. They are wiiling to work with the students and parents in order for them to excell in every aspect of thier education. We recently moved to what is considered an "excellent school" in another state and they can't touch MMS. MMS offers so much more than any school that I went to (4) growing up. Each child is treated as an individual and every teacher cares enough to let you know whether or not your child is working to his/her full potential. I appreciate knowing what is going on w/ my children. It says alot when actual students give their school a great review! I really miss what MASD has to offer!

This schools high scores are misleading. I pulled my son out of this school. My older two children were good students and did good. My third child was an energetic boy, who had difficulty with homework. I recieved calls during my workday up to twice a week. My husband and I went into multiple meetings trying to work with the school, and signed him up for tutoring. I asked not to be called while I was at work, unless it was emergent. I continued to recieve phone calls...'your son failed to turn his math homework' etc.. that is not emergent. Homework is given a very heavy weight here, over testwork, and class time. He began to fail two or three classes. It was at this time, we decided to pull him out, and internet school him. I felt like such a tremendous weight was lifted. I knew that even though my day was longer, I was in control of his learning. I have now heard from two other parents that pulled their kids, or moved to another district over the very same issues. If your child is NOT a perfect student, he will not fit into this school whatsoever.
