I am very satisfied with the education that my children are receiving from BSHS. The staff is caring, hard-working, relatable, and has high expectations. You get out of your education what you put into it and my children have received a very good education from Bermudian Springs. Their assignments are relevant, class work is meaningful, and the amount of homework is appropriate. Our family has very few complaints.

I have had a great experience attending this school. In Elementary school, the teachers were fun to be around and learn from. Middle school was, however, not a great experience for me outside of passions. That is because all middle schools have problems that deal with students changing. High school was a great experience. I made some great friends, and the teachers were extremely supportive of my career choice and have helped me grow as a student. I am pleased with Bermudian Springs.

Can get away with so much bullying

2/10 made some great friends but staff is a joke

One or two good ones but everyone else doesn’t know what they’re doing

Respect is true learned how to become a great guy

Not good so far, hope some improvements can be made.

No home work give how do you effectively help your child improve if you don't have anything brought home. Let alone anything from art class.

Posted: November 8, 2019

Very few things done to help a struggling student accurately learn. Need to have more communication not just at parent teacher conferences especially regarding concerns.

Integrity, compassion, and respect are strongly missing in the administration and therefore most of the students.

Posted: March 19, 2019

The administration represents close-minded views, does not support diversity, and favors athletes. If an athlete causes trouble, they laugh it off and protect the athlete. They do not protect or support other students. Athletes are given preferential treatment.

Posted: March 19, 2019

The school does the minimum. They act as if students with learning differences are a nuisance.

Posted: March 19, 2019

They support the behavior of the bullies. If they know and like the kid's parents, they won't do anything to help the victim.

Posted: March 19, 2019

There are some great teachers but also many that share the same harmful mentality of the administration which is to support the athletes and make fun of any kid who is different.

If the N word is regularly used by students in a school district, you know something is terribly wrong. Administrators and teachers do not care about racism in this school district.

Posted: December 6, 2016

This school district is incapable of identifying students with high intelligence, and they improperly identify students as having learning disabilities. If a child has a hard time concentrating in school, they push their parents to have them prescribed medication.

Posted: December 6, 2016

Our school district is not even in the middle of the pack when it comes to ranking with other school districts. Time for a shift in management.

Posted: December 6, 2016

The students and teachers in this school district only inclusive to those who are Caucasian and Christian. There is absolutely no compassion or respect for people of color or different religious sects. My child has heard students use vulgar terms for people of other ethnicities on a regular basis for years WITHOUT consequence, even when teachers are observing the atrocious language.

Posted: December 6, 2016

While some of the teachers at this district truly want to help students, a vast majority of them are not just bad teachers but actually prohibitive of positive learning experiences.

It is truly unfortunate that I have placed my child in the care of Bermudian Springs School District. Sometimes you do not have a choice where you live, which is the case in this situation. This school district is full of plain old averages. Average administrators and average teachers(mostly) makes average students. If you are a football player or wrestler, you have great exposure and opportunity as a student athlete. If you are everyone else, you are most likely not destined to go to college, let alone graduate school. You will not be academically enlightened. You will not be culturally enlightened. You will not be selected for advanced study if you qualify for it. I'm fairly certain that there is not a single person of minority status educating the children. There is no diversity in that regard, which is terrifying and absurd(there is a large Hispanic population in the district). There is blatant racism from students to teachers, which is largely ignored and accepted. The Camp Hill School District has none of these problems. Maybe Bermudian school take some tips from some of their higher ranking neighboring school districts.

This school is great IF you intend for your child to grow up here, attend local college and come right back. Most teachers hired in the past 10 yrs are related to a current employee or attended the school as children (admin too). The school board is also of the same ilk and make decisions based on their interest, not academic excellence. There is great pride in our PSSA results however it makes sense when you realize the amount of time our staff spends teaching to the test. The curriculum is VERY LIMITED and if you have an exceptional student do not expect much of a challenge. Especially if they are female. If you decide to challenge the status quo you may also want to prepare yourself for the admistration to dismiss your concerns as being a problem parent. If you are lucky you may end up with a teacher willing to fight for your child but it will depend on the luck of the draw. To say we are not impressed with Bermudian is an understatement. There are just too many locals making decisions based on family connections and childhood affiliations to make it anything other than a basic education.

This school does not adequately prepare its students for college. The administration could demonstrate a greater level of professionalism. They could also accept responsibility for their mistakes instead of finger pointing elsewhere. Greater lessons are learned once mistakes are owned. It is how you move forward from your mistake that demonstrates greater lessons beyond the classroom. The school system is cliquey. If you enrolled in kindergarten or your parents grew up as Bermudian students then you should do fine. Not impressed with the system at all.

I moved here from the western part of the state and my wife is from the eastern part of the state. We both came from much larger schools and higher taxes. All three of our children started in Bermudian from Kindergarten. We are very pleased with the school district in general, the majority of the teachers are attentive and the parents are supportive. It is a small school and everyone knows each other kids through some aspect of the school which makes it very family like community. It is my observation that the students support each other better in a smaller school than a larger school. The curriculum could be a little more challenging for the more advance students, but overall they seem to do a good job with all levels of ability. The school, parents and the community provides a very good foundation for the young men and women from our observation.

I am a graduate of Bermudian and now a teacher in the district. I loved attending the school, and have thus far had a very positive expericence as an educator here. The students, for the most part, want to learn, and I can't disagree more with the reviews that say the majority of teachers are only here for the paycheck. Sure, there are some, like any school, but across the board both as a student and teacher, my experience has been opposite. In response to parent on 3-14-10, the staff and teachers did not receive blackberries, only administrators so they could be easily reached by phone or email regardless of where they are in the area.

If you are planning to send your kids here. Don't. It is ok if you are in the in crowd.
