Susquenita School District is a hidden gem. They have some extremely well qualified teachers. There is socioeconomic disparity as found in many districts and that likely affects test scores. Susquenita sends students to Ivy-league / selective colleges and universities with some regularity. Because of its size, students have more opportunities and ways to distinguish themselves. Knowing college isn't for all students, It also has a class on home maintenance, for example, and many students that participate in professional trade preparation. If considering this community, I would not write off the school district at first glance.

Worst school ever for special needs families! Bullying is outrageous. This school is more concerned about their technology gadgets than the students who actually use them. Horrible for accessibility. Also more concerned about test scores than preparing for future careers and real world living. Sports are a primary focus for this district, not education. Not enough staff as case managers, counselors, teachers, and coaches are overwhelmed and playing double duty(if not more than double). Constant revolving door for staff.

Susquenita was a great school to go to. I was not the best student, I was not a 'favorite' student, but I at least got a solid education from them... Of course there is room to grow, but every school has things that needs to be improved on. Bullying was a bit of an issue when I was in highschool there, but kids are ruthless no matter what. The teachers for the most part were well educated and did very well!

Susquenita school district provided a solid education for both of my children. They both took advantage of Advanced Placement courses during High school and as a result, they were well prepared for college. I do not have direct knowledge of the special education department, so I didn't answer that question. My son did have an IEP and that was a huge help.

If you don't conform here, or aren't popular, you won't succeed. The place is riddled with favoritism and nepotism. The school does absolutely nothing about bullying on or off-campus, and if the principal doesn't like you, he won't even acknowledge your problems. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the teachers here are absolutely amazing, but there are others that have no respect for you. I want to leave this horrid place as soon as possible.

Continually fails to properly address the needs of special education students, grossly negligent in protecting kids from bullying, violating federal laws regarding special needs kids, with an arrogant piece of garbage for a superintendent, a terrible administration, teachers who don't care, continually at risk of losing state funding for poor grades and lack of academic success. Avoid this sham of a district at all costs. Superintendent Quigley isn't fit for his job.
