Not diverse or inclusive at all. The staff regularly excludes children with disabilities and ignores minorities and low-income people. If your child has a disability they will be kicked out of this school and shipped to Middlesex with children who have severe behavioral problems. If your child has a skin tone any darker than bright white they will be ignored and treated unfairly. If you are low-income or not outright rich they will treat you like you're unimportant and talk down to you. This could be a great school but they very much need DEI training or at least learn how to follow the Golden Rule.

The school does nothing to enrich high achieving students which explains why student progress score is so low. They do not give grades but instead use Mastery Connect which does not give an accurate picture of how your child is actually doing in school. They do not give tests on science or social studies material. This school has gone from Blue Ribbon to only concerned about themed dress up days. Very disappointed. PTO is only concerned with class parties (prior to COVID) and providing snack for teachersÂ’ lounge, not the actual education of students.

from what I've noticed as a volunteer and parents is that the teachers work with each individual child to help him/her understand what is being taught at their learning pace.

The Principal seems to have much respect from teachers, students and parents. That's refreshing to see. I couldn't say the same about my children's previous school.

I highly recommend Shaull Elem. We are a Military family and unfortunately, this is the third elementary school my child has attended. I was very impressed with Shaull the first time I walked in to interview the school. Out of the other schools in the area that I also interviewed, Shaull stood out in many ways. From my tour with the Admin staff, to chatting with the teachers and seeing how well behaved most of the children are. I have never had so many young people come up to me and thank me for my service in the Military. That was awesome! My children started Shaull in the middle of the school, so needless to say, I was so worried my children would not be able to make friends right away, however, I was pleasantly surprised that they both made great friends right away, Overall I am very pleased with Shaull and would gladly recommend it to others looking for a great quality school that has good safety measures in place. Wonderful PTO that heads many fun activities throughout the school year. Great afterschool activities.

The speech teacher does not know how to make an "R" properly and other staff members are equally inept about the topics they teach.

It's the multitude of stay-at-home mom volunteers that really runs this school. Shaull does not simply encourage, yet demands, extensive parental involvement and helicopter-parenting styles. The staff comes across as elitist, alarmist, and overbearing, yet under-educated in their respective disciplines. Cumberland Valley also recently had an issue where at least one teacher was caught sleeping with her students on and off school property. Minorities are either treated with kid gloves as "tokens" or ignored completely. They have a lot of parties which the kids will like, but the education a child will receive here is simply sub-par compared to other districts such as Dallastown or Camp Hill, for example.

Even though the school is a Blue ribbon school, certainly its not up to mark. Not much homework for students, no pressure at all. And when they move to middle school suddenly, pressure gets built up. I am not sure, why Science gets taught only for 2-3 months. In Music, this school is ZERO. Hardly once in a month class for music, and that too irregular. Either they are understaffed or don't have effective Music teacher. Probably, they should get Music teacher from West Creek Hill Elementary school (east pennsboro district).

This is our third school in 3 years. We have two kids since last two year and I found this is worst school my kids. Lots of discrmination. I have no choice to keep my kids to this school.
