I got lunch detention for other people yelling and screaming and going wild because I did a front flip in one of the hallways. one of the staff members gave me a lunch detention because those people were yelling he also (the staff member) said it was endangering myself ( I been professionally trained to do flips and do parkour. He even said this wasn't the first time the first time was outside on the grass after SCHOOL before I got on the bus after SCHOOL HOURS. I shouldn't have gotten in trouble becuase of other people misbehaving. If those people didnt act that way in the hallway I wouldn't have gotten in trouble. Not in any way was I putting myself in danger. The staff member who gave me the detention assumed what I was doing was dangerous and I was causing all the noise which isn't true the other students were yelling becuase of the flip i wasn't the reason for the yelling it was the other students thinking is what caused all the yelling I'm mad and honestly annoyed on how some staff members just assume things in one of the best schools in PA (or at least that's what I thought before I came to mvms.)

This school has been amazing! It has advanced classes, after school clubs, good lunch choices, etc. I myself go here. My first year. It is better than I could have imagined. They also provide for the disabled kids very nicely.

My son goes to this school and he has had emotional support problems because of other family issues, this school only cares about grades and student test scores and attendance, the teachers have no support for students who are struggling, this school is a very unwelcome place and behaves like a prison, and the teachers will call me even for slight misbehaviour with no second chances or help with their school and homework, I will never send my kids to this place again, please dont admit your kids in this school as it very unwelcoming mental place for your kids!!!!!!

We LOVE this school system. So much that we are trying to find a way to retire here from the military. The "online" portion is difficult to understand fully when 1st starting out, and teachers do not use a uniform set of standards when posting assignments or learning material on their schoolology page so that could be addressed. But they are small hurdles that you can eventually adjust to. The class sizes are VERY large which is not great but somehow the teachers manage to educate these children and my kids have adjusted seamlessly...even with an IEP. I would recommend this school system to anyone, they have a very diverse array of students, they have above average testing scores and I have not heard of any bullying.

The school mainly assigns the homework on their "schoology" page online. Unfortunately there is no uniform way to go about assigning homework so there is a learning curve for each teacher when you start at the beginning of the year. They should come up with more uniform set of standards. BUT once you get the hang of it you adjust well.

My son has an IEP in reading and writing. This is the 1st school he has seamlessly been able to attend (this is our 4th school-we are military). Each teacher takes the time to fully envelope the students in the information they need to learn. They are very effective, and fun which is not an easy task with this many students.

This is our 4th school (we are military) and my children have been the targets of bullying in the past in other states. This has not been the case here, nor have I heard of anything that would make me question my child attending this school.

Worst school ever. The counselors, teachers, and so on are barely even connected to the students. The school is horrible. The teachers also don't do anything about students bullying other students. Horrible school. 0/10.

Heck no. The teachers and so on would not do anything to stop bullying.

Posted: May 5, 2017

They only taught one way and it was the way I don't understand. I had no time to ask for help so I was basically thrown to the curb without help.

The teachers and counselors and so on were not connected to me at all.

Posted: May 5, 2017

The students were bullys and no body did anything to help me.

Posted: May 5, 2017

The teachers were barely connected to me I felt like I was abandoned.

The homework overworked me. I had no idea how to do anything and there was no time to get help.

Absolutely great school. The surrounding area has a number of really good schools, but Good Hope has exceeded all our expectations. Our child transferred mid-year from a local private school and has never been happier. The teachers are very friendly and the curriculum is well structured and organized. Administrators assigned a buddy to help make the transition, but also took the time to check-in on students themselves. Afterschool activities for every child's interest. Also, all assignments, grades, text books, and supplemental materials are available online and are up-to-date. Students use the same system in the public high schools so it's a seemless transition.
