This school has been a nightmare for my son for the majority of the school year. The kids are constantly bullying him and nothing is being done to them. The teacher's have lost my trust as a parent because my son doesn't feel safe in that school. Heather Judy is a terrible principal who isn't doing her job like she's supposed to. All the power of being principal has gone to her head and if you as a parent try and stand up for your child then she and the teacher's will target your child. They have no special needs classes to help teach kids with special needs because they're too worried about their sports and clubs. My son will never go back to the awful nightmare of a school. If you ain't a true DA kid then you're not a priority to them because they only stick up and protect their own. That school was awful when I went there and it's gotten even worse now that my son is going there. My son's teacher won't do nothing to the kids that are harassing my kid daily because she says she doesn't see it but at the same time will punish my son if a kid claims he did or says something to them even when she doesn't see it. She always takes the side of the other kid no matter what. That school is unprofessional and they don't know how to run a school. DA is trash and definitely ain't worth the money or time. That school has mentally destroyed my son and he doesn't trust the teachers there to help him nor the kids and the principal is a lost cause. I'm sending my son to a real school next year that'll except him and will do their job in teaching him and actually stand by their no bullying policies. I've never seen a more awful disappointing school than DA that's the only thing they're #1 at. My son is a really great kid whose sweet, kind,hardworking, loving, helpful and smart....DA doesn't deserve him and will be losing a really awesome kid that they never gave a chance too. Schools like DA are why more parents are homeschooling their kids. I'm sick of how DA has treated my son he's a little boy who never deserved what they gave him. DA lost will be another's Schools gain.

This school is an extension of your family! Teachers seem more like aunts and love the children like they were their own! The administration is friendly, accommodating and professional. They respond quickly and send out monthly newsletters. The Facebook page is informative. When my child struggled, they went out of their way to help him always updating me through emails and calls. This school has a large sports fan base. They have dance classes after school. Lovely atmosphere and great "village" to help raise a family.

This school is the worst school I have ever sent my kids to! The staff is never organized and use foul language and make sexual comments as well as bully their students!! Their “principal” is on a power trip like nothing I have ever seen of ur child has an issue with bullying or any issues Heather will NOT help you but rather help to create larger issues for the family as a whole if I could I would give this school no stars do NOT waste your money here!!

Who ever thinks that everyone going to Dorchester Academy is for STATUS is sadly mistaken. You will have issues anywhere you choose to send your children (politics & egos included). I send my children there because I have a choice to send them there or to the public school that is full of gangs, drugs, and children that have no parental support and guidance. There is always room for improvement and I think DA is on the right track.
